WHY ARE SO MANY CHURCHES NOT EVEN PRAYING RIGHT NOW?

Some dear pastor friends of mine who lead a church in South Jersey have been in fervent prayer for 9 weeks via conference call and regularly taking communion (others are praying together online via Zoom or Skype or some other vehicle). But in their region many churches are not even making any effort to pray corporately. And I’m afraid this pattern is consistent nationwide. Thank God for the churches who are giving themselves to serious prayer in this evil hour, but why are so many not praying?

The short answer is lethargy.

The dictionary defines lethargy as a lack of energy or enthusiasm. It is a a pathological state of sleepiness or deep unresponsiveness and inactivity. Spiritually, prayerlessness is rooted in a lack of love.

“Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me”… (Rom. 15:30)

Notice the expression, “that you strive together with me in prayers TO GOD for me…

This statement may seem obvious, but we pray TO GOD. So many forget the simplicity and potency of that truth. In other words, to pray to God is to put our total dependence on Him.

Honestly, prayerlessness is such a sin and a state of spiritual poverty in many churches today because it is an indicator of our independence FROM GOD.

In times like these, acting and living independently from God is spiritual suicide.

Jesus gave another reason for this lack of love:

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matt. 24:9).

With the COVID-19 pandemic birthing such fear in the world and now hate-filled lawlessness abounding nationwide, sadly the love of many is growing cold. This love is agape, the God-kind of love, found only in believers, who are to be the conscience and voice of the nation during such evil times, and who are to pray effectually to thwart off Satan and the hordes of hell who are wrecking havoc on America and the world.

How is it that the love of believers can grow cold in such times of trouble and crisis? It is the plan of Satan in every generation to lull the church to sleep where prayerlessness becomes the norm. A prayerless church in nearly worthless. They are no threat to Satan and his evil plans and schemes.

AN INCREDIBLE ENCOUNTER

Notice from the following incredible encounter that young prophet Jeremiah Johnson recently had that alerted and shook up the body of Christ in America and worldwide, who it is that does the most damage to Satan’s kingdom:

“On the night of May 30th, while praying and pacing over the United States in my home around 2 am, a demonic entity appeared right before me in an open vision. This type of encounter has only ever happened one other time while I was ministering in a foreign country in 2015. I have always engaged in this type of spiritual warfare while asleep and dreaming prophetically, but rarely if ever to this degree while awake.

“This demonic entity had a visible and deep scar underneath its right eye, but it also had the ability to mutate or rather change forms. I watched this being morph several times right in front of me, yet the gash below its right eye remained.

“It pointed its finger right in my face and said, I exist to deceive the whole world. Just as there are forerunners in the kingdom of God that go before the Son of Man, so I am a forerunning spirit in the kingdom of darkness that has been sent before the coming of the man of lawlessness.

It continued, “The scar underneath my right eye has come at the hands of the praying Church, for many of them in this hour have begun to detect our true plans and purposes to disrupt systems, divert attention, and release chaos in the land.”

A NEW BIRTHING IS COMING

The apostle Paul said this: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:14-16.

In my latest book, The Tumultuous 2020s And Beyond, I wrote of a spiritual dream my wife had where The Lord showed her that the true condition of many in the body of Christ was one of sleepiness and slumber—under-utilized, under-achieving, and not living up to its potential, power, and effectiveness. But the good news is that is about to change.

In this dream my wife was pregnant and the surgeon wanted to perform a C-section and cut her open, but someone told her that she didn’t have to give birth the old way as before, but instead she could give birth God’s way — in the Spirit. At that moment, beginning from her navel, there was an expansion of her belly that blossomed out.

INTERPRETATION: There is a super strength in the Spirit for the body of Christ to give birth to a move of God and an awakening right now, but many only need to arise from their state of slumber.

In this dream my wife saw the body of Christ awakening from her slumber and literally get out of bed.

Church, I know right now it may not look like it, but this is our finest hour! Let us get out of bed and arise from our slumber, and give ourselves to prayer and the Lord’s purposes.

THE TUMULTUOUS 2020s AND AMERICA’S LAST CALL

Could what the late prophet Kenneth E. Hagin saw in September 1950 vision is upon us? 

“I looked at the scroll again, and again I looked to see what I had read about. I saw the skyline of a large city. Looking closer, I saw the skyscrapers were burned out hulls. Portions of the city lay in ruins. It was not written that just one city would be destroyed, burned, and in ruins, but that there would be many such cities. 

The Lord then began to speak to him about America’s last call and the end of all things being at hand. 

I wrote these words nearly a month ago:

The recent Covid-19 pandemic has altered our nation, but will it be temporary? Remember, Pharaoh reneged on his promises to let God’s people go. He was not sincere. God is looking for sincerity and humility in America, in both repentance and our service to Him.

I’m warning you that if pride and arrogance continue to rule today’s church leaders and there is insincere repentance and we return to life as usual, there is something else that will come on the heels of this virus that will alter life in America again. I wish it were not so, and I hope I’m wrong. The effects of another national crisis may last longer than this one. Depending on how the church and people respond to the second thing (I don’t sense it will be another pandemic, but something else), there will be a third crisis that will change our nation for good, unless there is humility and heartfelt repentance that leads into a Spirit-filled movement and a national awakening.

Now we can see that the racial riots and senseless actions of violent thugs and looters over the unlawful death (really murder) of George Floyd that are sweeping  across our nation is indeed a second crisis.

Oh people, it’s time to serve the Lord with holy fear and trembling. To those who’ve been genuinely born again, God is our Father who loves us with an everlasting love, but don’t forget He is also a consuming fire, and it is a fearful thing to fall into His hands (Heb. 10:31). He loves even His enemies and desires to keep His hand of protection over our lives, families and nation, but we must cooperate with Him. He is patiently waiting for the precious fruit of the earth (James 5:7)and a glorious Church to arise from her anemic state and offer to Him the reward of His sacrifice.  Jesus is returning for such a Church – one who loves not their lives even unto death. He loves His church and the world so much and desires His best for all, but we must submit to Him or His protection will be removed off our nation even more, and Satan will continue to defile our land. 

 

Here is a brother calling for a counter peacemaker movement:

We wake up this morning to a new trauma and an urgent invitation. Please make no mistake as you read headlines about “Protesters” and violence, survey the damage, and pick the broken pieces. Yesterday there were hundreds if not thousands of peaceful prayer vigils hosted by communities of faith. And there were hyped up but physically non-violent “protests” in different places which could be more likened to rallies.

However AFTER those, cities all over America were assaulted. There is a major difference between a protest and a riot. But what I witnessed late last night isn’t rioting. It was a calculated Anarchist attack by those who: 1. Have no hope 2. Believe there is NO value in non-violence 3. Are committed to violent overthrow of the present systems. 4. Possess no fear of God therefore possessing no foundation for internal restraint, moral governance, or the need to be governed. In sociology, a tipping point is a point in time when a group—or many group members—rapidly and dramatically change behavior by widely adopting a previously rare practice. This usually happens when the shelf life of what is standard practice, has expired or grown stale. WE ARE IN A TIPPING POINT.

Historically in America, these types of groups were considered “fringe” but today many of them have the loudest voice BECAUSE WE are not physically PRESENT. The number of black, white, Asian, Latino, and native Americans who DO NOT BELIEVE THOSE THINGS FAR OUTNUMBER those with anarchists ideas, and we are literally HANDING them the tipping point advantage.

I’m as upset and hurt by the failures of America and the police as the next man but this ENTIRE GAME is changing QUICKLY. People died last night and early this morning but the coming bloodshed will be far more grievous. I write this through dried out and blurry eyes, on less than 4 hours of rest as I attempt to keep rinsing the remnants of the tear gas that got into them. Myself and just a few of my friends stood, prayed, confronted, and tried to de-escalate the crisis as OUTSIDERS looted businesses, hurled rocks at the police, damaged properties, and RE-TRAUMATIZED my already deeply wounded city of Ferguson, Missouri.

Based not only on what I have known and experienced for many years, but what I have assessed from last night. (or I should say this morning) If MASSES are not mobilized as PEACEMAKERS in order to take control of the narrative within the next 24-72 hours; just as quickly as COVID-19 changed nations almost overnight, we will not recognize this country one week from today.

I partly agree with Jonathan and applaud his valiant efforts. But we need more than a peace-making movement. We need a mushrooming prayer movement the likes of the prayer revival of 1830-31 that began with lunch time prayer meetings with an outpouring of heart-felt contrition and broken confession of people’s sins that swept through the churches and then the nation. We also need the fearless boldness, and firepower of Pentecost to kick us out of the four walls of our churches, and as Jonathan stated, be a presence in these cities. 

WHERE IS THE CHURCH?

Here’s what Mario Mario so succinctly stated yet again in his latest blog:

“Meanwhile, the true resistance—with the exception of a prophetic core— is asleep at the wheel. The army that holds the only answer to racial injustice—for the most part—doesn’t know who they are. They took the gold out of their message and replaced it with powerless sermons made of tin.

“Had there been more of the fire of God in the church, there would be less fires in the streets. If there was more of hell preached in the pulpit, there would be less hell being lived out in the inner city. The people with the solution and something relevant to say, are apologizing instead of evangelizing. The people with the bankrupt human remedy who have nothing to say, are declaring it with conviction.”

Mario is right! The people with no remedy or solution tell a lie with conviction while the Church tells the truth so poorly. We have got to do better! I believe God always has a Divine response to such evil and destruction in our nation, and it is always through His glorious Body and mighty army that it must come. We need the supernatural activity of God right now working though His people. Nothing else will work.

THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: IS GOD CHALLENGING THE MODERN GODS OF OUR DAY?

Sports, entertainment, materialism, education…these are your gods America. These are the gods of many within the Church who perhaps have not yet even entered the kingdom. This Coronavirus crisis is exposing these gods. Not just here in America but globally it seems God is shutting these things down.

Movies theaters and malls are closed. Restaurants are closed. Colleges, universities, and schools are closed. It’s not necessarily sinful to enjoy these centers of entertainment and institutions of learning, but remember Lot’s wife. Remember the lessons and Biblical accounts from Noah’s day and Lot’s day and what Jesus warned us of. 

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.  Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).

Now that our lives are less consumed with these gods, less busy with our own agendas… now that we have more down time at home… perhaps people are learning to be a family again, perhaps parents and children are having more communication and time to evaluate their spiritual lives, and even erect a family altar of soul searching, repentance, and prayer as well as Bible time. At least that is my hope.  

Some may disagree, but this crisis is not really God’s severe judgment, but actually an act of mercy to prepare us for something more. Something far worse is coming in the not-so-distant future. Right now we need to be purged and cleansed from our idols and positioned for a tumultuous decade that has only just begun (The Tumultuous 2020s). God grieves over the condition of many hearts in this hour, the sin and idolatry in our lives, the many distractions and lack of wholeheartedness in us. God wants our hearts, because without this surrender He knows it will not be well for us going forward. 

Many are praying amiss concerning the Coronavirus. It is a time of testing, soul searching, repentance, and submission to God — not a time of wrangling and debating this crisis, wondering whether it is a big conspiracy that China or our own government is behind, and/or flippantly rebuking, binding, and loosing everything that upsets our comfortable, cozy little life. 

It is a time for sobriety and sincere repentance from the god of mammon, and looking away from the temporal toward that which is eternal.

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Cor. 4:18).

God is silencing the temporal so we can hear the eternal. He is silencing the voices of these gods and idols we’ve made, so we can hear His voice clearly. He’s removing the distractions that have kept you from Him. If American Christians would now give time and space for humility and repentance, fasting, praying, and seeking God we could stay the hand of God’s judgment. Realize though, that some things can be stopped or delayed but not changed. 

GREAT TRIBULATION COMING 

Some will label me a doomsday preacher for my next words, but in actuality, I’m very excited about my future. The Bible paints a very positive picture for the saints without skipping over how bleak and terrible the future is for the sinful, the evil, and the unrepentant. Call that doomsday if you’d like, but while the Scriptures declare God’s mercy in abundance, it does not avoid the reality of God’s judgments.  

This world is on the verge of the greatest tribulation it has ever faced in its entire history, and God loves us too much to not give us opportunities to turn whole-heartedly to Him. God does not want to allow devastation to come to this earth without granting us a chance to get our hearts right. What makes us think that we are exempt from what the Bible has already foretold.  A time of tribulation and then great tribulation is coming. The sky is blackened. Storm clouds are appearing on the horizon. The worse may not come tomorrow, or next month, or next year, or even in the next few years (although I personally believe we’re at the door), but be assured that the storm is coming… one unlike anything most of us have ever seen in our lifetimes. This is not a scare tactic or gloom and doom hyper-drama, but it is reality. It is what Jesus foretold. 

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Lk. 21:25-26).

Too many people are afraid of a little pandemic that is a light affliction compared to what is coming, but they are not afraid of God Almighty. People are afraid of a virus that causes flu-like symptoms, which has been way overblown by globalist interests and the lying media, but they’re not afraid of a hell that burns with fire and brimstone. They’re afraid the economy might sink, but they’re not afraid they’ll sink into Satan’s damnable abyss, forever lost without God. 

With every worsening crisis God is telling us that Jesus is coming soon. With every worldwide calamity His voice speaks that His coming is near. The Church is slumbering and sleeping and many foolish virgins lack the oil of the Holy Ghost, and they are not hearing the Bridegroom’s knock nor ready for His entrance. 

May I encourage you to shut off the voices of these modern gods. Shut off the voices of the media pundits and talking heads who know nothing of the kingdom of God. Shut off the voices of entertainment and technological gadgets and games. Please start listening to God. 

Once again, this virus doesn’t compare to the catastrophes that will unfold in these end times. There is a time when the very earth will shake with the greatest seismic tremors ever, the seas will roar with the greatest tsunamis ever, the heavens will be shaken, too and the stars will fall, and there is even a time where men will wish for the rocks from the mountains to fall on them so they can die.  

“And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb” (Rev. 6:15-16)!

CORONA VIRUS: PROOF CHURCH IS NOT YET READY FOR TUMULTUOUS 2020s

The media has effectively shut the world economy down in one week. Think about it.

Just like that the government controls all sporting events, concerts, jobs, colleges, medical facilities, whether or not you can leave your house, they’ve depleted resources such as toilet paper and food, and control all travel. And many wonder why they develop and use viruses to scare the public.

They now control you and everything about your life. See how easy it was? Mass panic, fear, hysteria, and complete control of literally the entire world. Over a virus! One that the survival rates are even extremely high. All freedom has been limited overnight.

See how easy that was?

And much of the Church is flowing with the spirit of fear, forsaking the assembling of themselves together, missing the opportunity to serve in practical ways to let their light shine before men.

We are not ready for the tumultuous 2020s. 

WAKE UP SHEEPLE

“Sheeple” is the insult the blogging masses use to call someone. It means a “dummy following a person or ideology without knowing why they’re following said person or ideology.” According to Merriam-Webster, here’s the actual definition: People who are docile, compliant, or easily influenced; people likened to sheep.

I wrote the following in my newest book: In many ways the decade of the 2020s will be the most tumultuous decade in American history. Take a look at this definition of tumultuous: making a loud, confused noise; uproarious. 

Now think of the recent 2016 elections, the multiplied efforts to discredit everything our president does, the Russian collusion, the subsequent attempts to impeach him, but now a virus that has the entire world bound by fear. 

In a presidential term where everyone from all sides of the political spectrum have been shouting at each other, we now have everyone huddling together over a virus that has killed 41 people in America. 

Welcome to the tumultuous 2020s. 

Tumultuous: Loud, deafening, thunderous, thundering, ear-shattering, ear-splitting, ear-piercing, uproarious, noisy, clamorous, vociferous, excited, confused, or disorderly.

Here are some more synonyms to describe tumultuous: tempestuous, stormy, turbulent, in turmoil, passionate, intense, explosive, violent, volatile, and full of upheavals. Are you getting the picture?

Of course, this virus phobia won’t last. But something else will come soon that will change America for good. It will never be the nation it once was. We are sitting ducks. But God! But the Church! We must forget this world and labor not for the meat that perishes.

“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life…” (John 6:27).

Your faith is “much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ…” (1 Pt. 1:7). 

ANTICHRIST SYSTEM RULING THE WORLD 

FEAR is a big black monster that the media partners with to shape the minds of the masses. And sadly, much of the Church is following suit. The antichrist spirit uses fear to control everything about your life. This Corona virus is proof. It’s a light affliction compared to what’s coming to America. 

Much of the Church is like the disciples who were rebuked by Jesus after His resurrection. “He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen” (Mk. 16:14). After rebuking them Jesus commissioned them. “Go preach and make disciples” He said. This is what we are to always be doing. But let’s face it; we are full of unbelief and hardness of heart. We’re ruled by mammon. We live in a bubble. We love our lives, and we fear death. We are not yet prepared and positioned for the tumult of this decade, which will bring far more than a mild virus that mainly affects the elderly. 

Some Christians are familiar with the testimony of John G. Lake, and “the law of the Spirit and life” that operated in his life and ministry during the bubonic plague. Here it is:

“Because we were in contact with the Spirit of life, I and a little Dutch fellow with me went out and buried many of the people who had died from the bubonic plague.  We went into homes and carried them out, dug the graves and put them in.  Sometimes we would put three or four in one grave.

“We never took the disease.  Why?  Because of the knowledge of the law of life in Christ Jesus protects us.  That law was working.”

Church, we need to come up to this level of faith and understanding during the days and years just ahead of us. 

Meditate on these scriptures beloved, and build your faith and starve your fears and doubts to death.

“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find FAITH on the earth.” (Luke 18:8)

“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God… I will put NONE of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” (Ex. 15:26)

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our FAITH.” (1 John 5:4)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND.” (2 Tim. 1:7)

Unless the Bible becomes our complete and absolute standard of truth the tide of fear will continue to rise in the Church and in our society.

Never has there been a more urgent need for true spiritual physicians, brave preachers of righteousness, and shepherds who are not moved by fear or popular opinion, but who genuinely care for the sheep.

ABORTION: NOT ONLY IS IT MURDER BUT A DEVALUATION OF WOMANHOOD

It’s difficult to believe the level of decadency we are experiencing every day in our nation. I read this article recently and was appalled by this heinous evil: Colorado Democrats Vote Down Bill Mandating Medical Care To Born-Alive Survivors Of Abortions. I will never get used to this, and neither should you, lest you become desensitized to it.

In a recent interaction with a minister friend of mine, John Fenn, he made the following insightful comments concerning the abortion issue, which he gave me permission to share.

“To me the key is our society devalued women and their ability to conceive and bear children, in the midst of women’s lib. They forgot that fact, forgot that a woman can do something amazing that no man can do — conceive and nurture a human being within her body.

“All of the natural world of higher mammals shows us the amazing thing about females: They exercise free choice up to the point of conception, but once conception happens, a deeper law comes into effect that overrides and governs her free will from that point forward: Pregnancy. It is as true of the elephant and antelope as it is for human women.

“That deeper law governs how she feels, what she eats, risks she will or will not take, her sleep, her relationships — that is a deeper law proven by the fact pregnant women do alter their behavior, submitting their will to the pregnancy. That is the deeper law, the deeper principle.

“The amazing thing is a baby girl is born with all the eggs she will ever ovulate. That means there has been an unbroken chain since Eve, for today’s baby girl has in her body all the eggs she will ever ovulate, as her mother had within her during her own gestation all the eggs she would ovulate. Her grandmother had her mother in her while still in her mother’s womb. All the way back to the first woman (which has been proven genetically that we all came from one man and one woman).

“She has, even as a newborn, her children within her. Conversely, a man can produce 100 million sperm every half hour or so, but women are special, unique, and that has been lost in the effort to gain their rightful equality in society.

“The nurturing of a human being within her body is a deeper law. Pregnancy is the law to which a woman’s free will submits. This truth is seen in mammals all over the globe — a pregnant female submits herself to the deeper (and higher) law of pregnancy. Amazing!”

Now if you want to make a case against abortion using the Bible, following is a great reference to prove that God recognizes the unborn baby as life.

”If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life…” (Exodus 21:22-23).

In Exodus 21:22-23 where the Lord gives a hypothetical situation in which two men are fighting and a pregnant woman is nearby, and in the fight she is injured and loses her baby. The Lord says if it was an accident then the woman’s husband and the judges will determine a fine and punishment, but if the man’s intent was assault, he must give his life for that of the baby’s, life for life. This proves the point that God considers the baby in the womb alive and with equal rights to those living outside the womb.

ONLY THIS KIND OF PRAYER WILL OVERCOME THE TUMULT OF THE 2020s

After writing back to back articles on the gay movement in our nation…after being placed on probation by Twitter and Facebook…after reading other articles from radical right wing watch groups, and news circulating the internet that misquoted me, twisted my words, believing me to be some kind of monster…

After so many nasty, vile, and venomous comments directed toward me, wishing me the worst, wishing me death, destruction, even going after my wife, spewing out such slimy curses on my behalf…

After many angry emojis and mock laughing emojis, and just a day of being slimed on, my mind and thoughts went to our precious Lord and how He suffered so much more, yet He was the epitome and embodiment of a perfect Man, the brightness of the Father’s glory and express image of His Person (Heb. 1:3).

“For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself…” (Heb. 12:3).

Oh, how I groaned with the revelation of what He endured and how light of an affliction was my own!

THE PROPHETIC NATURE OF MY WRITINGS

Listen, I know many of my writings are strong and direct with hardly any fluff or smooth words. I’m very aware of the prophetic nature of all I pen, but it’s flowing from within, from the wellsprings of grace and how God expresses Himself through me. And yet, like you, I’m still a work in progress. I don’t apologize for it. But here’s often what many outsiders don’t see about the insideness, if you will, of rare and true prophetic people; not the kind who are selfish, greedy Word mongers, mammon babblers, sheep fleecers, and un-sanctified vessels; but the kind who’ve purchased their oil through suffering, weeping, and the travail of deep prayer.

TRUE PRAYER

There was a day last week I had no desire to preach or be in the ministry, or even ever write again. Of course I immediately recognized that as the effect of Satan’s fiery darts of discouragement and word curses from the days before. I went to bed last night thinking about all those word curses directed toward me, and how suddenly I became aware of their effect on my mind and spirit. But then the morning came and I woke up with a freshness.

My first thoughts were directed toward the Lord and just adoring Him, but then I began thinking of the awful depraved state of darkness those wicked words came from…the lostness, the guilt, the condemnation, and the utter moral decay, decadence, and a seared conscience of those caught in the deepest forms of perversion imaginable. As I was pondering these first early thoughts of the day, I began to weep and travail for the gay community and those caught in the grip of that most abominable perversion.

I then went into some of the most diverse tongues I’ve ever prayed in, all the while searching my own heart and asking the Lord to forgive me if I somehow wrote any words that proceeded from pride or any impure motive of the carnal mind. Then almost simultaneously, I found that sweet spot in prayer where the Spirit of God began to pray through me for the deliverance of my enemies who hurled their most wicked curses and insults at me. I prayed earnestly for the gay community and all who approve of their perverse lifestyle.

I’M BEING VULNERABLE

I know I’m being vulnerable right now, but the lesson is to make you see what many don’t see about the grace of true, heart-felt, Holy Ghost praying. My wife Carolyn prays this way more frequently than I do because of an anointing she received in 1995 when she came into personal revival. This is where the body of Christ must find themselves in these tumultuous times and most evil days. This is where true ministry must flow from. Persecution will increase and the most fierce will come from the gay community. Do you realize that much of America is now very close to the point of voting for a gay president?

Let us be found loving and praying for our enemies from the deepest recesses of our hearts and the grace of prayer. It’s the fuel that will take us through and give us overcoming power now and in these tumultuous years just ahead of us.

THE HIGHJACKING OF TRUTH AND SOUND DOCTRINE

Our American culture is attempting to make the narrow way wide and the exclusive way inclusive. Many cannot seem to understand that you can’t live in sin and go to heaven. You can’t live an immoral lifestyle  and go to heaven. You can’t live for yourself and do whatever your flesh and feelings dictate and go to heaven. You can’t believe what you want to believe and still go to heaven. You can’t respect everyone’s religion and systems of belief and go to heaven. There is only one way, and it is through Jesus Christ. It is the narrow way.

 ^“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)

The unrighteous cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

“Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10).

Many cannot seem to reconcile these scriptures, especially the gay community, many of whom hurled nasty insults and vile comments at me this past weekend because my article offended them Gay Activism: The Death Rattle  of a Nation.

Twitter and Facebook also threatened to close down my accounts as other media outlets got wind of my Charisma article and misquoted me. Here’s one.

I TRIED TO TELL THEM THEIR HOUSE WAS BURNING

All I did was to frantically flag them down at the bridge that was out, but they sailed past me at 100 mph flipping their middle finger at me. I warned them that their house is on fire while they screamed hate-filled curses at me from their bedroom window accusing me of bigotry and hatred.

 

These are accurate images of what is really happening. They accuse Bible believing Christians of hatred, and called me names I cannot repeat here.

They did the same to our Master.

“It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household” (Matt. 10:25)!

It’s strange that their most common cry was that I was hateful, but they hated me for testifying that their lifestyle and works were evil.

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil” (John 7:7).

You see, they only like their version of hate, and this spirit has its tentacles all  over America. Americans celebrate the gay lifestyle. The world doesn’t hate this spirit. Heck, they and much of the church don’t even recognize it as a spirit. America and the world only hate true Christians and those who defy this spirit and sin.

With every vile comment they demand tolerance while actually being very intolerant of anyone who disagrees with them. They only like their version of tolerance.

Isn’t that something how that works?

Jesus moved in tough love and never compromised the truth. That’s why the most religious tried to kill Him.

“After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him” (John 7:1).

Imagine that. Religion tried to kill a perfectly sinless and loving man. Religion sought to kill the Son of God. It’s always been this way.

Religion joins itself to homosexuality and hides there. They divorce Christianity from the Bible. This is present day America.

THERE’S SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY

Homosexuality is unnatural. It’s unclean. The Bible calls it abominable. And it’s very stubborn. Why? Because it’s coming from a futility, and foolish hearts that have been darkened, and a will that is bent on this lifestyle. It suppresses the truth in righteousness even though God has shown them it is wrong (Rom. 1:18-19). Here it is:

“Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things” (Rom. 1:21-23).

Sexual perversion is a choice, not an identity as some argued with me over the weekend. One man in particular told me he tried everything to change, but gave up, and convinced himself he was born gay. Such a deception. I’m afraid God has given him over to a reprobate mind, and if that’s the case, sadly, there is hardly any hope for him.

Reprobate minds void of judgment are multiplying. Many occupy high seats in government, school systems, the courts, and media. They are the devil’s agents sent to intimidate the Church and pollute and destroy the land. It’s now a principality in our nation.

No, homosexuality is not the only sin that will damn your soul and pollute our land, but do not fool yourself, Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s bold and unashamed stance for his and his partner’s gayness was a direct statement from this principality to the inhabitants of our nation, to you and me, to our children, and to our grandchildren. It was a Goliath moment mocking the true Church, our faith, and our family values.

This principality shouts at us, “I’ve come for you and your children. We are advancing and you can’t stop us, or we’ll get violent, mock your faith, and run you over! Conform to our agenda or else!”

Aggressive gay activism is just one area they are doing it in, but do not be desensitized, because it is a big one.

PRESIDENT TRUMP NEEDS TO BE REBUKED FOR AGREEING WITH BUTTIGIEG’S LIFESTYLE

President Trump stepped into dangerous ground recently by acknowledging and promoting the sinful abominable marriage of Mayor Pete and Chasten his partner. I was very grieved and disappointed by it. Someone in his inner circle of counsel needs to call him out on it. He could lose any remaining favor he might have with God right now, because he publicly positioned himself  against the Word of God, against the true church of Jesus Christ, and he aided the leftist liberals to undermine the future of our nation.

I agree with my friend Cary Gordon, pastor of Cornerstone church in Sioux City, Iowa:

“I have no desire to be an enemy of Donald Trump. God does not desire to be an enemy of Donald Trump, either, but President Trump better be careful he does not make himself the enemy of God and the Bible with his sinful opinions repeatedly spoken into TV cameras in front of American children!

“The Christian ministers who surround the President are waaaaay tooooooo quiet! We need REAL men of God to shake-off the sinful pragmatism and REBUKE the President when he earns it. He has earned it.”

“Republican election results be damned!!! You want to defeat Buttgeig and company? Then you go tell the President to stop praising the sins of Buttgeig, then!”

TRUTH AND SOUND DOCTRINE IS BEING HIGHJACKED

Some readers think I have an obsession with the sin of homosexuality, and that I should write about other sins as well, and not  push the issue. As I stated, it’s because it’s a principality that rules our nation. We have no choice but to push the envelope now and enter into faithful disobedience to the laws of the land that contradicts the Word of God. We should’ve been doing this long ago with abortion, with prayer being removed from our schools, and with a host of other antichrist issues.

It’s time to rock the boat.

The world, the culture, the media, and Hollywood are highjacking truth and sound doctrine. They are controlling the narrative, or the way of presenting a situation or series of events that reflects and promotes their particular antichrist agenda or set of values. They have  become the biggest educator in America. Every show, every movie, every song on radio has become in itself a voice or narrative of propaganda.

The most subtle trick of the devil is to get you to laugh at sin.

They’ve made too many believe that sound doctrine is the new religious hate speech. Even in churches. This has intimidated pastors and caused them to cower down from anything that is controversial. Pastor, this is not a minor issue. It’s one of the main strongholds in our nation.

Friends, the wicked are not hiding in their closet anymore, but it seems too many of the righteous are. Now that they’ve come out of their closet we need to be so bold and unapologetically tell them to come out of their grave. Preach the full gospel and the whole counsel of God. Preach against sin. Command the people to repent. Pastors and parents, you better educate the young ones and fortify the older ones. This is an hour when you must know what you believe and in Whom you have believed and committed your soul to.

Goliath is mocking the people of God and too many of us are intimidated and afraid. You better put your armor on and get to the battle front. If what they’ve already done and continue to do does not fill you with righteous indignation, I’m sorry, but your faith is not worth a nickel to me.

We are not wrestling with flesh and blood. Our righteous indignation must not be aimed at human beings but this principality. Homosexuality is carving America down. It’s intimidating too many in the Church. It’s gotten its filthy hands on every aspect of society. It’s time to make a statement to this Goliath.

“Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God” (1 Sam. 17:26)?

The days of living in Christian ease are over. The showdown is here. Choose you this day whom you will serve.

A SOBER REMINDER: APPROVING OF HOMOSEXUALITY IS DESERVING OF DEATH

In the name of progressivism we now have a male presidential candidate who has a husband whom he publicly introduces and even kisses without shame, while millions of Americans applaud and approve. And perhaps worse yet is that the shock effect has been so reduced that the rest of us are numb and desensitized to this most shameful and abominable behavior. And that’s all it is is behavior.

Have you seen this old quote from Gore Vidal?: “Actually, there is no such thing as a homosexual person, any more than there is such a thing as a heterosexual person. The words are adjectives describing sexual acts, not people…” (From Gore Vidal: Sexually Speaking). The fact is that the word “homosexual” wasn’t invented until 1892, when a German book on sexual perversions was translated into English (Psychopathia Sexualis was the German book).

God created male and female with sexual union between the two being first for procreation; anything outside that is merely behavior.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10, some translations unfortunately use the word “homosexual,” when actually there is no Greek word for that (the Bible was canonized way before 1892). The word that is used in the aforementioned references is “arsenokoites”, and it just describes a male-to-male sexual union. Behavior. The Bible mentions no other gender besides male and female. There is no gender called “homosexual” or “transgender” either. That is a behavior.

This fact has been lost on millions of people across America and now the world. Even Christians have subtly allowed homosexual behavior to be elevated to the status of gender in their minds. The LGBTQ movement seeks to elevate their behavior to gender status. But one of their best-known members, Gore Vidal, had it right.

To paraphrase again, sex is a behavior, not a gender. We see the leftists’ efforts in the courts and in society to change that. Moreover, blindly and ignorantly, denominations have altered what the Bible says and yielded to this perversion. It’s a lie that Western culture in particular has swallowed. But the truth is, there are men, and there are women. The rest is behavior.

Churches and clergy who have swallowed the lie of homosexual behavior being elevated to gender status are trophies of hell and Satan’s prized possession.

The American pulpit is to blame. Preachers who know better are to blame. The constant compromising of preachers to avoid controversy is creating much damage, not only to the world, which is looking for a clear sound from preachers, but also to believers who have little discernment or are growing tired of ambiguity. For example, one very influential and popular minister who has millions of followers was asked if homosexuality was wrong, and his general response was that his views were evolving. Evolving? That’s like saying the Bible is evolving. How pathetic of an answer.

In fact, when those who practice such things that are deserving of death also approve of others who practice them (v. 32) — it is one of God’s final signs of His wrath on a society.

When millions of Americans applaud Pete Buttigieg and his “husband” it is the death rattle of a nation. When the never-Trump-ers and Trump-haters counteract with judgment and accusations of adultery against our own president, in response to Buttigieg’s abominable lifestyle, they are grasping for straws in a last gasp of air of a drowning argument.

My friend Dr. Michael Brown has it right in the recent article he wrote (I Will Say What the Political Leaders Cannot Not Say About Pete Buttigieg) when he revealed that repentance is the difference between president Trump and Buttigieg. Here’s what Trump said about his sins:

“I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize. I pledge to be a better man tomorrow and will never, ever let you down.”

Brown continues:

“In stark contrast, Mayor Pete has talked about how his homosexual relationship to his “husband” Chasten has brought him closer to God. He has kissed his partner at public rallies. He is pushing his homosexuality, not apologizing for it.”

Would you please read that last phrase again very slowly and very carefully? He said his homosexual relationship to his “husband” has brought him closer to God. What!? This sounds so eerily close to the woman with the spirit of divination who followed the apostle Paul and his team, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation” (Acts 16:17).

In the above verse, when Satan used a slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination to identify herself and her fortune telling with Paul’s team, it was his master plan to defile the church of God with other mixtures. He has done this successfully throughout the ages. It’s always been his lethal stroke. “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” is the devil’s mode of operation. He divorces Christianity from the Bible. This is 21st century America (The Tumultuous 2020s and Beyond). This is Pete Buttigieg’s Satanic philosophy. Yes, the god he claims to be closer to is Satan. 

Throughout history and in America today, Christianity has become a myriad of traditions, Satanic philosophies, doctrines of demons, witchcraft, and New Age gobbledygook. Unfortunately, some of this mixture has also infiltrated into the Pentecostal/Charismatic camp.

Buttigieg and others of his kind will do everything in his power to normalize homosexual relationships even more in the eyes of America. They are products of what the Bible calls a “debased mind” or a mind void of judgment (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28) that God Himself has given them over to.

Buttigieg will also do his best to marginalize those who are convinced that these relationships are contrary to the will of God. But once again, the Scriptures are clear:

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting…who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (Rom. 1:28, 32).

A pastor friend of mine just told me that every pastor and every church in America needs to get my newest book, The Tumultuous 2020s and Beyond, before the November election. We need pastors and people who believe this message is a nation-saving and Church-saving word to promote it. I wrote it out of a deep burden for the Church and the nation. Some of the above excerpts are quotes from the book. 

THE CONDITIONS ARE RIPE FOR A SPIRITUAL HURRICANE

There were 400 years of near silence from the days of the prophet Malachi until John the Baptist and Jesus came on the scene. No prophet had spoken. We don’t have Biblical record of any prophetic vision or revelation. There was a famine of the true word of the Lord.

The old man Simeon and the old prophetess Anna were two of the faithful remnant who held on to the delayed promise of the coming Messiah and the consolation of Israel (Lk. 2:25-38). The ceremonial priestly sacrifices, the temple offerings, and the Sabbath rituals without the prophets speaking had created a great, lifeless vacuum among the Jewish people.

But in spite of outward circumstances and centuries of a divine pause, God’s plan was still in motion and so much greater than they ever imagined. It not only included redemption for Israel but for the Gentile nations as well. The vacuum of the human heart would be filled to overflowing with new light and new life. The glory of God was on the horizon.

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4).

PRINCIPLE OF THE VACUUM

Herein we must understand what I call the principle of the vacuum. When a people are denied and deprived of the life-giving word and power of God for so long, it feeds the desire and hunger for it all the more. When the reality of God is taken from a people, the craving and panting in their hearts increases. When a society infiltrates our educational system from kindergarten to our universities with humanistic ideologies, with marxist socialism, with anti-Christ and anti-Semitic literature, with hatred, violence, and sexual perversion, the human heart begins to long for a purity from a more innocent time. The glory of Christ becomes the end of their search.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory…” (John 1:14).

Though Christ came 2000 years ago, there are still many nations who’ve been deprived of His gospel and His glory. Anti-Christ governments and religious regimes block the flow of God’s blessings to a nation. They shut off the spigot, so that the water of life cannot get to the people.

But how do you shut off the hunger of a human heart? The potential of life flow into that vacuum is enormous. Here is the principle:

“But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more…” (Rom. 5:20b).

This principle is evidenced when scientists and meteorologists gauge the force of hurricane winds and water surges by the low-pressure systems that form over the ocean of a developing storm. There’s a vacuum effect created that determines the violence of the winds. Such is the mystery of a human heart and a society that has been denied true spiritual light and life for so long.

GREATEST MOVE OF GOD ON THE HORIZON

Take the example of the church in China. In spite of an evil communist regime suppressing the people under an atheistic form of government, the Chinese church is flourishing. I’ll never forget the image I saw not too long ago of a container of Bibles being opened and the Chinese recipients of those Bibles weeping with joy and scrambling to get their copy. The nation’s outlawing of the Bible created a great vacuum in the heart of the people and produced a ravenous hunger for the written Word of God.

Iran, as a nation, is another recent glaring example. The Islamic regime there has starved their people of the gospel and reality of Jesus Christ for a long time. Yet now within that nation is one of the fastest-growing underground churches in the world. What happened? When you saturate a people with enough hate, strife, violence, and a dead, joyless religion devoid of God’s love that produces no true peace, because it contains no assurance of salvation, then you create a great vacuum and a hunger in the human heart to be filled with the reality of the true and living God.

When secularists attempt to create a post-Christian America, they actually create a hunger in people for sacredness. When atheistic university professors seek to erase our Judeo-Christian heritage, they actually create space for a new script of faith in God to be written in the human heart. What they are ignorantly doing is playing right into the devil’s hand.

Satan has been overplaying his hand since Calvary. What he thought was the ultimate defeat turned into the greatest victory in the history of the human race. He is repeating this strategy in his plans to destroy America. All he is doing is adding to the increase of the groaning of creation to be delivered from the bondage of corruption.

The deeper our society sinks into hopelessness and despair, the greater the cry is for a living hope and eternal joy. The deeper the bondage of sin, and addiction to drugs, and sexual perversion, the greater the cry is for deliverance and freedom. This effect is happening in America right now, and globally as well. The earth is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God (Rom. 8:22).

I propose to you that we are on the precipice of the greatest move of God and awakening that America and the nations have ever seen. I propose to you that, since the time of Christ and the early Church, we’ve not seen a move of God that comes close to the finale of what has been in God’s heart from the beginning.

AMERICA’S HELL ENLARGING THROUGH “CHRISTIAN” HYPOCRISY

The past week’s news headlines in America are a laboratory analysis and forecast of the perfect storm that is lambasting our falling nation.

America mourns as basketball legend Kobe Bryant dies, and every news station, sports talk show outlet, and media center in America covers his death and celebrates his achievements in a sport. Meanwhile, a pastor in Nigeria is beheaded for refusal to deny Christ, and no one cares.

I wrote an article a couple of days after Kobe’s untimely death about the vanity of a celebrity gaining the whole world and possibly losing his own soul, and Christians defend him and his Catholic faith, and call me a classless individual who wrote a “creepy post mortem commentary”. The article’s purpose was to simply put us in remembrance of the brevity and vanity of life without Christ, the permanence of eternity, and was a simple call to salvation.

The truth is America and many professing Christians don’t want their American dream deflated. They don’t want to know that there is a God they’re accountable to. They are like the disbelieving brothers of Jesus of whom He said:

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil” (John 7:7).

AMERICA HATES THE REAL BIBLICAL JESUS

America hates the real Biblical Jesus. Many professing “Christians” do, too, including many of our celebrities. The stronghold in America is not the sinners who love the world, but the professing “Christians” who praise Him with their mouth but whose heart is far from Him — the ones who confess His Name but in works deny Him.

Folks, here is the big problem. Many of our celebrities and star athletes confess Jesus and have “God-talk” on their lips but they do not live for Him. As an example, the Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, whom I love by the way, is being lauded for his faith in God since his childhood, yet he is living with his girlfriend and parties with his teammates. There are numerous other examples of this type of double standard and hypocrisy in America’s entertainment industry and among our celebrities.

But here’s the worse thing: American preachers defend the faith of these individuals and praise them. They exalt them before our youth as an example of a bold Christian witness, but they’re living in sin. We not only have frauds in the entertainment industry, but the high crime is that we have them in our pulpits.

Mahomes says he participates in team Bible studies and chapel services, but who is leading them and conducting them? Who is mentoring young men like him and others, and giving them the whole counsel of God. Who speaks of sin any more? Who tells them their lives are wrong? What preacher in America lives up to this job description?

“Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching” (2 Tim. 4:2).

Observe the many comments from the sleazy Super Bowl halftime show. Some of those entertainers are professing Christians. Many viewers who defended the show are professing Christians. It’s alarming to me that a professing Christian could watch this halftime show and not sense the Lord’s displeasure and be grieved in their spirit. Listen, if you are in that category, you are asleep and in great need of a rude awakening. You need to repent of your false profession and your compromise against holiness.

Have you ever read the following verses?

“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them” (Ephesians 5:3-7).

Much of “Christian” America doesn’t even know such verses are in the Bible. Such popular figures like mayor and presidential candidate Pete Puttigieg are professing “Christians” who are in a same sex marriage relationship. Honestly, it makes me want to vomit when I see half of our nation idolizing such effeminate men. Oh God, how far we have fallen from Biblical standards in America!

THE PERFECT STORM

The deception is rooted in this simple statement: We have divorced Christianity from the Bible. America is a homosexual nation because we celebrate this lifestyle and cater to them all. America’s new religion is sex in all forms, and in all fashions. We have been desensitized to sin and seduced by sex. We are a hell bound nation. The worst of it is that our children are bearing the brunt of our lust and being exploited by the thousands in the sex trafficking industry, which is so much worse than any of us know. This is all about shock value and bringing down our nation’s defenses, so that after awhile it won’t bother you.

I know many of you don’t want to hear it, but it was the Obama presidency that opened the portal of sexuality here in America to a greater measure, and accelerated this vile filth from the pits of hell. Political authority from those eight disastrous years allowed a hell-bent, full-blown deviant spirit to rule, while the church played church grow-thism and designed a consumer model to keep attendance convenient and carnal.

And worse yet, now that a true presidential leader is putting a strangle hold on some of the darkness and prevailing progressivism, and draining the national swamp of its evil, people are having hissy fits as they scream for their Sodom and Gomorrah to remain unrestricted and unrestrained. Even professing Christians are now unashamedly Trump-haters, bashing our president at every turn. Stars of champion professional sports teams, who profess Christianity, boycott their visit to the White House in protest of the most Biblical and church friendly president we’ve ever had. Shame on you. You are poor, wretched, blind, and naked.

This double standard and highly hypocritical Christianity is a recipe for disaster. It’s the perfect storm. A sleepy church and a sinful society. Unholy Christ professors and a hell bent nation. Cowards and frauds in our pulpits who won’t preach the full truth, while the world parties on into eternal damnation.

Lord, have mercy.
