THE CORRUPTION OF AMERICAN CHRISTIANITY: THE EVIL AGENDA TO DESTROY AMERICA

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons…” (1 Tim. 4:1).

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Tim. 4:2-4).

A subversive effort by the leftist leaning liberals to infiltrate the Church and turn people away from the real gospel and true doctrine is gaining momentum in this hour. The purpose of this agenda is to sway the Church toward a radical political movement and the spread of socialism in our nation.

Here are the buzz words the Left uses to subvert professing Christians toward their socialist agenda:

Social justice, environment, racism, white privilege, human rights, caring for the poor, etc. They will use this terminology to persuade professing Christians into buying their bill of goods. Young people especially are being hoodwinked by these socialists. They will mention these buzz words without ever mentioning moral biblical issues. Their language is always very nuanced and overt. They use leftist talking points dressed in Christian veneer. Why have they gone after the Church?

Because the Church is the last bulwark preventing their socialist ideology from becoming a reality. But they are infiltrating the Church in subtle ways. They operate through the peace movement, the black lives matter movement, the women’s movement, and the labor movement. They infiltrate our sacred institutions that people have considered safe. There are many examples of this.

For instance, World Vision, a once trusted Christian adopting agency for children has been co-opted into the leftist movement. The progressive left used to hate World Vision because of their Christian conservative stance and charity. Now they love them and are partnering with them.

The NAE (National Association of Evangelicals) is another example. This organization was led by a full-fledged apostate, Richard Cizik, for 28 years (1980-2008) who was funded by George Soros, as are many of these secret socialists.

The Roman Catholic Church is the most long standing example of being  connected to the socialist/communist movement. And if you’ll do your research you’ll find that the current Pope Francis (real name is Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina) is himself a communist.

Along with the Roman Catholic Church, the mainstream Lutheran and Episcopalian Church have been infiltrated by socialist/communistic ideology since the 1920s and 1930s. It’s been subtle but you can see the erosion of pure doctrine in these churches, which is a direct result of the penetration of a global socialist agenda.

What is presently shocking and very disturbing is the heavy penetration of socialism into the evangelical churches over the last few years, including, get this… the Baptist Church.  Find that hard to believe?

Socialism has been hidden for decades in our nation but has secretly and quietly advanced until now when many people including Christians are being seduced by it. There are now elected Congressmen in our government who were taught socialism at a young age in schools and universities both here and abroad. These are the progressives who seek to destroy America’s ideals, form of democracy, Judeo-Christian heritage, and the many liberties and way of life we enjoy. They have dressed up their agenda with Christian rhetoric for many years, but now they are brasher and bolder than they’ve ever been. Trump’s presidency is the biggest reason. He is a huge threat to their plans for a socialist nation and a one world order.

WHO IS GEORGE SOROS?

Soros is a multi-billionaire hard core socialist who has had connections with Russia and Hungary for many decades, since WW II. In recent times he has contributed over 18 billion dollars into the socialist/communist movement in America. His motivation is to bring down our democratic system and godly constitution by flooding the Church with socialist propaganda . For example, he and his minions use amnesty for illegal immigrants as a hot button issue to bring division in our nation. Soros is a globalist and wants a borderless socialist world where America is just one small province of a greater United Nations world super state. This man’s evil agenda needs to be fully exposed and resisted.

Of course, any serious Christian would say that they want nothing to do with Soros, but what they don’t understand is that he uses people that we know and trust to subvert and co-opt us into his socialist agenda and movement. For this reason, many of our largest Christian institutions have been infiltrated with leftist propaganda.

As another example, Tim Keller who formed the gospel coalition, has been co-opted by the left to alter doctrine and create new voters for the left. A majority of black Americans as well as a good number of Hispanics and whites have swallowed their agenda hook, line, and sinker.

When socialism/communism began to infiltrate churches they preached their ideology with a little Christian veneer, and many saw through their agenda and left. But now they preach 80-90% Christianity and add a little of the other. They push for social justice, promote the war against global warming, the ending of white privilege, the push for illegal immigration, and catering to refugees from overseas. What many Christians don’t realize is that these programs are all left wing socialist/communist programs. You are getting 80-90% Christian content with a little poisonous socialist/communist doctrine thrown in.

The most effective lie is the one with the most truth in it. There’s an old Arab proverb that says, “Every liar tells the truth.”

There was a famous Marxist school that was established in America in the 1930s by Communist Marxist refugees. It was these refugees who started the cultural and sexual revolution of the 1960s and 70s. What is happening now is that their movement has grown and their ideology has spread to universities and now in the churches.

Christians need great discernment in this day and hour. Many are falling for these Marxist programs that have nothing to do with the gospel and they are subtly being moved to the left. These voters will end up destroying the America we’ve always known and loved unless the Church wakes up and rises up to an uncompromisingly righteous position of strength. Christians who actually apply their faith to politics are the great final barrier to this corrupt socialist/communist agenda. This is why they are now being targeted.

To be continued…

The following link is an introduction to a documentary movie concerning this takeover of America. It’s release is due sometime in 2019. I believe very strongly in this documentary movie. Please watch the video below, and pray for it, support it financially, and share it. The revelations and findings in this movie are going to shock the church and the world. I believe it could spark the radical, moral, and cultural revolution we so desperately need in our day.

Our books are forerunners to personal holiness, the move of God, and the return of the Lord. They also combat the departure from the faith and the turning away from the truth we are seeing in our day. The Real Gospel, The Real Jesus, The Real Salvation, and The Real Spirit Of Revival are especially strategic in trumping the many falsehoods spreading in the modern day Church. If any of our books or articles on this blog are a blessing and encouragement to you please use the social media buttons below to share them.

THE SWORD OF THE LORD COMING DOWN ON AMERICA

A sword is coming down on America. But first the Church. This sword shall divide the real church from the false church, the sheep from the goats, and the wheat from the chaff among professing Christians. To whom much has been given much shall be required.

We are nearing the end of America’s last call she first received decades ago (I Believe In Visions). Along with this call, the judgment within the Church is also nearing its finality, for judgement begins in the house of God. Then the worse shall come to the world, but the judged and cleansed Church will be ready and fit for the Master’s use. Revival will come on the heels of great repentance and purging.

Believer! Please judge yourself now so you won’t be judged.

The judgment in the Church is for the purpose of purging out the old leaven and the sin and evil. Refer to Ananias and Sapphira; Simon the sorcerer; the man who was cohabiting with his father’s wife in the church at Corinth. For many are still in rebellion. Many have a form of godliness without the power. Many confess His Name but in works deny Him. Many praise Him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. Many are living a double life filled with secret sins. It’s time for people’s walk to match their talk.

Contributing greatly to the blame for this dilemma are the many preachers and churches who have stopped preaching the cross. Many no longer even mention hell, judgment, and the wrath of God in their preaching. Many have forsaken the whole counsel of God. I am getting more and more uncomfortable in such places and so should every true Christian. If you’re more comfortable in a place where sin and repentance are never preached you may be dining at the table of devils.

The hyper grace message and the seeker sensitive movement are actually aiding in the coming  separation. God must separate the sheep from the goats so that He will have a pure and holy people to work through. Many have itching ears and God is accommodating them by giving them teachers according to their own desires. Many people do not want to change and have chosen the soft compromised message of another gospel void of the preaching of the cross (The Real Gospel). They’ve chosen to serve another Jesus made in their own image (The Real Jesus).

God is shaping a new Church. One of character and power and authority… one who practices what they preach… one who carries their cross… one who has died to himself…one who is bearing much fruit… one who is fearless against the enemy and unashamed of the gospel… one who is holy and pure and passionately in love with Jesus… one who will even die for the cause of Christ.

The revival that has begun is within the Church. There is a remnant who are sold out. My hope and burden is for more to join that number. The world will take note of them and run to the consecrated  people of God who possess the true life and light they are seeking in this day of gross darkness.

There is a counterfeit move of the “spirit” I must also warn you about that has been building steam. False prophets and prophecy are at an all time high. Familiar spirits have been free to roam and use those who’ve given them access to their ministries. What many receive as revelation from God is given by familiar spirits in the realm of the demonic. There is a true and there is a counterfeit.

Never has it been so important to be under the whole counsel of God. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Pride and arrogance and a general lack of meekness and humility among many ministers are placing them in great danger of being among the deceived.

It is the whole counsel of God that will ignite those who are on the fringes to join the remnant. Many know something is missing and are starving for the true word of the Lord and the pure move of His Spirit. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: there has been a diabolical silence on holiness and an apostasy from the true moving of the Holy Spirit.

Get ready. Jesus said these times would come. False christs and false prophets working great signs and wonders that would even deceive the elect, if possible. Paul said these days would come. Other apostles said these days would come.

As I said, judgment begins in the house of God. Now that the time of the completion of this judgement is nearing you will see the manifestation of the sword of the Lord coming down stronger on America as a nation. There will be greater lawlessness and bloodshed and killings. A minister friend of mine said the Lord called them nightmares. We must be prepared.

The good news is that fear of the Lord will greatly increase in the Church and will lead to a mighty revival among the saints that will result in a harvest in the world. The true saints and people of God need not fear for this will be their finest hour where every field shall be white unto harvest. Many will seek answers. We will have the answers. Many will seek peace and we will lead them to the Prince of Peace.

In my next blog I will share a fearful dream a friend of mine just had that I believe is significant to the times we are now coming into.

MOVING INTO A HIGHER DIMENSION OF FAITH, LOVE, AND POWER

In a recent private prayer session the Spirit of God directed us to scriptures on evil spirits and prayer and fasting.

The root of man’s rebellion against God is that they cannot see for they’ve been blinded by the enemy. For example, no one in their right mind would drive a car 100 mph off a cliff to a certain destruction and death. And yet, in reality, that is what most of mankind is doing when they refuse to surrender to Christ. Prayer and fasting can break through that state of mind by dealing with the evil spirits that blind and bind such people.

One day the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast out a certain devil.

Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting” (Mt. 17:20-21).

There’s a certain kind of unbelief that only prayer and fasting can overcome.

In the midst of this great moral crisis we are experiencing in America right now, the people of God, especially ministers, must keenly discern that our battle is not with flesh and blood but demonic spirits.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:10).

We must direct our passion and energy for politics and all that is happening in the political realm of our nation into prayer and fasting and loving and praying for God’s enemies. The uncompromisingly righteous can be indignant toward the hatred, evil, and division that has been unleashed in our nation without hating the actual people the enemy is using.

Jesus commanded us to pray for those who spitefully use us and persecute us (Mt. 5:44). Stephen, the first Christian martyr, had the revelation that even the greatest persecutors of the Church must be prayed for. In the hour of his death he forgave Saul and the ones who stoned him (Acts 7:59-60). I’m convinced that it was this great intercessor’s heart and his prayer of forgiveness that resulted in Saul’s subsequent conversion. The greatest persecutor of the Church turned into the greatest apostle. Glory to God!

Stephen’s great love released great power. It’s the same today. The greater the true love of God is demonstrated, the greater the power will be. Prayer and intercession is one of the highest demonstrations of the love of God and a far greater source of power than all the bantering and political rhetoric that we engage in. I know I’ve been guilty of it myself.

When I speak of love I don’t mean this false concept of love as a sentiment of total acceptance, free of the ability to hate anything, which is one of the most popular rationales for which many believers are abandoning the truth and authority of the Scriptures in this hour. I am speaking of true love that lays down its life for even its accusers and enemies as Stephen did. This is where the power to convert sinners is found.

What much of the Church today has done to make up for the lack of power that results in true conversions is adopt a seeker-friendly philosophy, which is based on the sentiment of total acceptance and avoiding the stronger aspects of the gospel while emphasizing the temporal benefits of becoming a Christian as their chief selling point.

What an insult to the Father when men try to establish a work, a church, a ministry without the order, equipment, and character of heaven.

The truth is this: the seeker-friendly philosophy is a much easier route on the flesh than to enter into prayer and fasting and a love that breaks the enemy’s back.

The pattern was established long ago by Jesus and the apostles. They would not leave prayer with fasting and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4, 13:1-3). Why? Because they wanted to stay out of the natural realm and live in the Spirit. Jesus and the apostles’ purpose was to stay full of faith and power, wisdom and understanding so they could build correctly according to heaven’s order and establish the Church on a sure foundation.

After witnessing the true power and character that was attached to these early apostolic ministries the people then willingly came and joined themselves to their works and served them. We must return to the order of heaven that can only be established by true apostolic men who live in the Spirit and who see and understand this higher way. We must have ministry gifts who know how to root out and tear down the works of the flesh and plant, establish, and build up according to heaven’s wisdom and order.

An increase of power and souls is coming to those who have learned the Spirit’s ways and refuse to compromise these timeless essentials of which Jesus and the early apostles patterned.

A FRESH PROPHETIC UTTERANCE: MAKE ROOM FOR ME

This is what I see as in the time of the prophets before the NT where the people left their cities that had no rain to go to the cities that had rain and refreshing (Amos 4:7-8).

So it’s a time now where individuals, couples, families, in and out of the church, and those who may not even know that they are being drawn to where it’s raining, and some will even leave places that are now full of man’s attractions and man’s wisdom that do not satisfy.

It’s dry and they’re thirsty and they look for the rain, for the rain brings fruit in their lives and in their hearts and joy… it brings strength to marriages and it brings a satisfaction that only comes from the Holy Ghost moving within.

And so is it a time now I see.

And I’m bringing you help in prayer and support and of those who are being drawn (to Me in you). So accommodate and prepare for those and for even the places you go.

The drawing for the rain, for it is they who are dry and thirsty that are being drawn to God, that are being drawn to the HS, and where He is allowed to move and where He, Jesus, is Lord, and where man has not put up a throne of His own, but have prepared a place for the Lord to rest and reside and dwell.

So make ready the place in the days ahead and the places you go; make a place for Him and He will show.

Isn’t that what happened in Acts 2? And isn’t that what you’ve seen happened even in the OT where My son (servant) prepared a dwelling place for Me?

There were temporary places but then it became a permanent place for a time and a season.

But what happened when the people worshipped Me? My glory came in, and so was it in the days after My Son was resurrected where My people sought Me for days and waited upon Me for the promise…oh for the promise!

They made a place for Me.

So see this and understand this, that those who make a place for Me always have the fruit of Me coming and My glory coming and resting and residing and dwelling.

It has been a practice through the years and you can read it in history and you can read it in My Word.

I come where there is room made for Me.

And just as it was in the temple of old where My servant and chosen one came and built a place and used the wealth that was there for the covering of gold, and the covering of the chairs, the altar and utensils that were used…everything was made to prepare for Me.

They gave the best for Me as they knew how then and there, and then they set their hearts to dwell on Me and worship and sing to Me.

And so it was that I came in power and My glory filled that place and they were slain and could not even stand because they made room for Me.

Make room for Me! Make room for Me!!!

And no longer do you dwell in a place of natural dwelling, but My temple is My dwelling place and My people are My dwelling place.

And those that give up their lives and surrender to Me, and make a sacrifice unto Me and become molded in Me, and become precious in Me–they are those that become the gold and the utensils of old, for they are the pure place that I can come, for they make themselves ready like gold; they make themselves ready in their hearts with worship…

Make room for Me!

And I shall fill every heart and I shall fill every place, and then there shall come rain and a visitation and a place where the hungry and thirsty will come.

This is My wisdom, says the Lord. Make room for Me.

A NATION OF BLIND HYPOCRITES LEADING USEFUL IDIOTS INTO A POSSIBLE CIVIL WAR

Recently I was listening to an interview with Chelsea Clinton who stated how serious of a Christian she was while promoting the cause for abortion. My brain froze when I heard her say that abortion actually helps the economy. How blind and hypocritical can one be?

This attitude portrays the hypocrisy that has swept our nation.

We are a nation that accepts pornography but supposedly hates sexual abuse.

We are a nation that doesn’t believe in gender, but fights for women’s rights.

We are a nation that believes no child should be left behind, but we have aborted over 60 million babies.

Many call themselves Christians while opposing God’s moral Law and everything Jesus and the early apostles penned and taught.

Reprobates legislate ungodly laws, and useful idiots swallow their Marxist ideologies and keep following them.

In political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as a propagandist for a cause of whose goals they are not fully aware and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause. The term was originally used to describe non-Communists regarded as susceptible to Communist propaganda and manipulation.

Barrack Obama and his administration were a modern day national example of leaders who made many more Americans susceptible to its radical socialist propaganda. It did not originate with him but he and his administration pushed it far more than any other presidency. Our institutions of learning from kindergarten to college and university levels are now filled with this agenda. Hillary Clinton would’ve advanced this agenda to new levels had not God intervened.

What the Obama presidency did was open up a door to evil spirits and a blatant hypocrisy that was injected into our nation.

We’ve lost our moral compass. Confusion now marks our degenerated society. Hypocrisy rules and lawlessness has invaded our land.

“Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” (Mt. 23:28)

Jesus foretold of times like these (Mt. 24).

When any nation can no longer judge between good and evil, right and wrong, and light and darkness they are reprobates. The Bible describes such as “becoming futile in their thoughts, their foolish hearts being darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…” (Rom. 1:21-22).

Why do these people and many of our political leaders keep suppressing the truth?

As this continually happens then God gives them up and gives them over to a debased or a reprobate mind.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness (v. 24).

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions (v. 26).

God gave them over to a debased mind (v. 28).

Paul describes such people, not only in his letter to the Romans but in his other epistles as well. Here’s one example in his letter to Titus:

“They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good” (Titus 1:16).

Here’s another description in his letter to Timothy:

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Tim. 3:2-5).

How do people in such a condition even sleep at night? Isn’t it because most of them are blinded to their true condition and unaware that they are in fact under the wrath of God? How can they even look at themselves in the mirror each day? Isn’t it because they are grossly deceived?

I cannot imagine being so blind to your own sinfulness and the multitude of your own crooked ways, but yet having enough audacity to scrutinize the sins and faults of others. This is where much of our nation is right now. Just take the Kavanaugh hearings as one small but glaring example (actually its a big and historic example).

With so many in the House and Senate having succumbed to the same sexual sins they accuse Justice Kavanaugh of, how could they so proudly and arrogantly point the finger at him? It is the same condition as that of the Laodiceans of whom Jesus said believed they “were rich and in need of nothing”, but in fact were “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.”

Among them there are still many church goers, but they are not humble, broken, and contrite. Rather, they fit the awful description of what the apostle described of a last day people in our aforementioned texts.

Here’s the good news! As this cloud of gross darkness continues to envelop our nation and the world, many more people are feeling its effects and being increasingly sensitized to the emptiness of their own hearts. I believe this clash between darkness and light could result in another civil war right here in our own nation, but will also result in another great awakening and an unprecedented harvest of souls. As always the devil has overplayed his hand, and what he meant for utter evil and destruction shall turn for great good.

I see an increase of judgment and revival moving simultaneously within our land. I see a remnant Church increasing in prayer, purity, and power.

TIME FOR A PUSHBACK IN NEW ENGLAND AND THE NATION

Recently I had lunch with a pastor who recently planted a church in Portsmouth, NH, one of the most physic, demonic small cities in the East. One of those demons greeted me at the restaurant and caused a woman to refuse to receive my personal gospel tract. I take it personally, no pun intended, when sinners don’t receive my personal tract.

Good gospel tracts are a gift of life saving words. They are like a rescue boat in the dead of night sent to save its drowning victims. Receiving or not receiving God’s words is the difference between life and death, heaven and hell. You think I’m being overdramatic about a piece of paper? God has chosen words to save.

It is quite rare for anyone to refuse my personal tract since my approach is usually always genuine, unassuming, and non-sales-y. The tract is simply my testimony of my conversion. Usually, after engaging someone in friendly conversation I just kindly ask him or her to read my story.

With this particular woman I hesitated to say the Name of Jesus Christ at first like I normally do, sensing that she would not take the tract if I did. Instead I told her the tract was my story of how “God” changed my life. But then sensing evil, I boldly spoke His Name and boom… the demon quivered and in a strange voice, she phonated, “I’m a medium!” as she adamantly refused the gospel tract and told me she knew all about it. The pastor then blurted out, “Welcome to Portsmouth!” Ha!

Does this friendly face cover look like a tract you’d refuse?

With the increase of spiritism this sort of confrontation is becoming more common in America particularly in the Northeast and the Northwest parts of our nation. Have you ever been to Portland, Oregon? I’ve preached there a few times. There are bumper stickers everywhere that seem to proudly announce, “keep Portland weird”. The two most unchurched regions in America are the Northeast and right behind it the Northwest.

NEW ENGLAND

Let me speak to you of the former where I live, New England to be exact. Honestly, I love this region where I was born and raised for the greater part of my childhood, and now have lived for the last 12 years, but I hate the humanistic devils and ideologies that have saturated this region. You’ve got to be spiritually tough to live here.

Charles Finney once said that the Boston people are a proper people who take great pains to plain preaching. Smug, rugged, and individualistic are adjectives that some have used to describe New Englanders. But I’ve also found that they will give you the shirt off their backs once they trust you. One preacher told me that New England is a preachers graveyard. Yet there is a remnant of preachers and church planters who have survived and even thrived in this region, and more keep coming to replace those who have left or quit.

In a way, I’m jealous of my region, and my righteous blood boils when I witness what the devil has done here. After all, New England is the historic cradle of American Christianity, and as one article stated, just about every postcard-ready town here boasts a white church with a steeple. But sometime between the Second Great Awakening and today, the region evolved into the most secular part of the country. One study revealed pulpits that once boasted gospel preachers like Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield now proclaim universalism, liberalism, and postmodernism. One poll’s findings indicated that the four least churched states in America are in New England. Yet the many monuments and structures that have been erected here to commemorate past revivals and its early preachers and pioneers are plentiful and remind us of a brighter day in this region.

MONUMENTS AND MEMORIALS

After having lunch with the aforementioned Portsmouth pastor he told me about a memorial that was erected in the honor of George Whitfield, the princely preacher, in the town of Exeter, NH, just a few exits from where we were in Portsmouth. I walked up and down the street of its location in the hot sun for well over an hour trying to find this memorial and finally succeeded. It’s words have been worn down through the decades, but it says, “GEORGE WHITFIELD HERE PREACHED HIS LAST SERMON SEPTEMBER 29, 1770.”

Many such memorials can be found throughout this region. As another example, there’s a plaque engraved into the wall of a building in downtown Boston that honors American evangelist D.L. Moody. There are statues and monuments in other parts of Boston and New England that honors the early pioneers and even martyrs of the faith.

But enough of memorializing the past and what God did in centuries past. The question is: Can these former wells of revival be re-dug and renewed? Can these monuments of the past become movements again in our day?

For evangelicals, revival seems too much like a distant memory and the present spiritual climate still looks so bleak. One researcher found that of the five U.S. metro areas with the lowest percentage of evangelicals, New England cities are beat only by Mormon-dominated Provo, Utah. Also, New England is relatively wealthy and educated, and overall, its population is shrinking and aging. That’s why some Christians see New England as “hard soil”—and desperate for re-evangelizing.

MOMENTUM GIVES US HOPE

However, I’ve witnessed a palpable sense of momentum growing among evangelicals and Pentecostals/Charismatics in New England in recent times, who say this hard soil may soon bear more fruit thanks to the heart-felt prayers of the righteous, the growing efforts of individual leaders and churches willing to lay aside their differences and work together, and an intangible sense of spiritual hope and energy that I attribute to the workings of the Holy Spirit. I’m a firm believer that many in this most proud and profoundly secular region of America will smash their idols, fall to their knees, and submit to King Jesus once revival breaks forth in sustainable strength.

On October 28th there will be a large regional prayer event unlike anything here in New England in recent years. Believers from nearly every denominational background will be coming together in unity to seek God and pray for our region and nation. These type of gatherings that are happening in other parts of the country are a sign to me of spiritual hunger and even desperation, and a sense of both judgment and revival that is coming to our nation and region.

I hope you can attend this event. Here are the details and the website:

Save the date. I hope you can be with us. Please share this article with others and spread the word.

EVANGELIZE OR DIE: BURNING HEARTS AND TONGUES OF FIRE (Part 2)

What happens when unfavorable laws toward the preaching of the gospel begin to be legislated? The fear and intimidation factor increases. It then becomes easier to keep silent or to compromise our message. Scripture commands us to obey the laws of the land, but not when they are contrary to the laws of God. The principle is that we always submit to the higher law. “Preaching the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15) is the higher law.

Richard Wurmbrand, founder of Voice of the Martyrs, who suffered much for the gospel, once asked why, when the Supreme Court passed the law removing public prayer from our schools, American Christians complied. What would have happened if we just refused to comply and say like Peter and the other apostles, “We ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29)?” That ungodly law might have been reversed immediately. Or at the least, the Church would’ve proven by her obedience to be a force to be reckoned with. By not taking action and being silent we emboldened the devil, and allowed darkness to move in and increase.

This is how the devil moved into North Africa. First, the Church became divided over doctrine and gradually grew spiritually cold. Then things began to decline from there…they stopped praying, they stopped evangelizing, they became ashamed of the gospel and kept it in a closet, public preaching decreased, and eventually became non-existent. And then Satan pounced on the opportunity, and increased his efforts to make the preaching of the gospel illegal.

In the process of time new laws were passed by anti-Christ governments that restricted the Christian witness. Principalities and powers began to rule the land. Today in that region you can feel the fear and oppression that Islam has produced. Now the only way to advance the gospel in much of that region is to work ‘underground’ or pay the ultimate price of martyrdom.

When the early Church and the apostles received persecution they kept on preaching. (Acts 4:18-20) (Acts 5:28-29, 40-42). It’s about time we do the same.

Evangelize or die! Every saint is called to be a witness. The honorable task of evangelizing our world does not fall on a chosen few. It is to be a lifestyle. It should not be relegated to a special department in the church. Otherwise, people get the impression that evangelistic work is only for a chosen and tireless few, and it compartmentalizes the purpose of evangelism instead of enlarging it.

Just imagine if every Christ-professing church, evangelical, charismatic/pentecostal, denominational, or otherwise really preached the gospel! What a difference we would see in our own nation and in the nations of the world!

Where is the problem? Why is there so little zeal for evangelism in many of our churches? Why is the harvest so great and the laborers still so few? It is because to most Christians evangelism is a law and a duty. But evangelism is only a law and a duty to those who still own their lives. Until you yield your life to the ownership of Jesus Christ, evangelism will continue to be drudgery to you. People will be a sort of ‘project’ for you to invite to church, and the love, boldness, and compassion of Jesus that breaks the enemy’s back and fuels evangelism will be lacking. Falling in love with Jesus will change all that. If you love Jesus with all your heart you will share Him with your life and with your mouth.

“A burning heart will find for itself a flaming tongue.” Charles Spurgeon

Much of our evangelistic activity can be done in vain if believers are not experiencing the fire of God’s presence that comes from living a submitted life to Jesus.

Here is what all Christians must do: Allow yourself to be broken before the Lord. Don’t just spend time in prayer, but also spend time in surrender. Submit to His Lordship daily (Lk 9:23). At first it will be a battle in your soul, but if you stay with it, every action of your life will soon start becoming an act of worship and every person a target of God’s love. You will be transformed!

The culmination of this transformation in you will be evidenced in your thoughts. You will begin to find yourself thinking about God and thinking about people in the light of His redemption. Your feelings will also change. You will begin to feel God’s heart for people and to pray His desires.

The living Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only hope for our world. As the Church goes, so goes the nation. But the Church is only as powerful as its commitment to pray and live a surrendered life, and be obedient to the great commission. When churches fail to obey the great commission and go public with the gospel you will find the Holy Spirit’s influence gradually being removed. “Evangelize or die” is an urgent word. I believe obedience to this word will revive churches and rescue the perishing multitudes.

EVANGELIZE OR DIE

Many centuries ago in North Africa there was a strong Christian movement and presence throughout the region. Today Islam rules and in some nations Islamic governments have instituted laws that make preaching and converting men to Christ a criminal offense. What happened? How could nations and regions that were once Christianized become such strongholds of Islam?

History tells us the story. In North Africa when Christian theologians began to have doctrinal disagreements the emphasis on the great commission was diminished, and then the devil gradually moved in.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature…he who believes and is baptized shall be saved…and these signs shall follow those who believe” (Mk 16:15). These final words of Jesus are so powerful, and yet so easy to neglect and lose sight of. Simply put, the Church is commanded to evangelize with signs following, or reap the consequences. The consequences in North Africa for not keeping the great commission, as the Church’s central focus, were death to the move of God and Christianity. Think of the many generations that have been affected by the Church’s neglect in North Africa. The same I’m sure could be said of many other nations.

Europe is another continent that was entrusted with the gospel in the early centuries and at one time had many strong churches that dotted its landscape. Yet today, a good number of the European nations are like sewers infested with atheism, humanism, and false religion. Neglecting to focus on the fulfillment of the great commission with power allowed darkness to move in.

The same could be said of local churches everywhere: Lutheran churches; Methodist churches; Presbyterian churches; Pentecostal churches; Charismatic churches. In their earliest beginnings many of these churches experienced revival and were zealous in evangelistic work. Many have since grown cold and complacent and some have died.

Several years ago a friend of mine ministered in a church with approximately 60-70 people. The Spirit of God gave him three words to preach on. “Evangelize or die!” Some people were angry and offended at this word. The church, however, soon got past being offended and entered into obedience. In a very short time this church grew to 700 people. “Evangelize or die” is an in season word for many churches today. Just imagine what would happen to the body of Christ worldwide, but especially here in America, if this word was taken seriously.

Here is what I’ve observed in local churches: Man-hours, energy, focus, money, time, and resources are put into different areas of the church, but evangelistic work is sorely neglected. Oh yes, we have our outreach programs, but many of these are service or socially oriented works only. The zeal of God and the real soul-winning spirit can sometimes be lacking. We need fresh fire! We need a touch of wholesome fanaticism!

Evangelism is the purpose, and we need to keep the purpose at the forefront. Service is good, but service with evangelism is far better. The purpose is to get people saved by preaching the gospel with signs following (Mk 16). We are commanded to do good works and service-oriented programs are certainly a part of that (Mt. 25:31-46), but in and of itself, these programs cannot save anyone.

Listen to this powerful statement:

“There is a certain kind of passivity, a teaching and an educating to bring truth and an engaging in acts of kindness to show love, that actually limits the ministry of God’s kingdom.”

Without question, we must continue to teach and educate people with truth and demonstrate the love of God, especially through acts of service and kindness, but without a certain kind of zeal and a preaching with power, the kingdom of God makes very little penetration into the world.

The Salvation Army organization is an example of what has happened in many Christian churches and institutions when service and social programs are placed above the fervent preaching of the gospel. Many of our Salvation Army centers today are social organizations only, with little or no fire (how many times has a Salvation Army worker shared Christ with you especially during holidays like Christmas when donations are received outside department stores and supermarkets?).

William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, was not only a compassionate man who loved and served the poor, and was rich in good works, but he was also a man full of fire, vision, and passion. It was General Booth who made the following statement more than 100 years ago:

“The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell.”

What a word of wisdom! How accurate and fitting is this utterance for the present hour generation! Even his own organization has for the most part fallen prey to this amazing prophecy.

We must realize that God has chosen the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe (1 Cor 1:17-18, 21). Do we really understand that without preaching people cannot be saved? The early apostles serve as our timeless examples that public preaching is necessary to the growth of the Church. But the task of preaching the gospel wasn’t committed only to the apostles. Everyone preached the gospel in the early Church.

“Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word ” (Acts 8:4).

“Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word…And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus” (Acts 11:19-20).

Now think about this: The early Church preached the gospel during times of great persecution. How much easier it is to preach during times of relative peace? When the Church fails to preach the gospel during times of peace, evil advances. The devil is merciless. Haven’t we seen this in America where courts are assuming more power than any branch of our federal government and seeking to uphold laws that would limit the preaching of the gospel? Even now it is happening! This is not the time to back down. This is the time for the Church to step up her efforts in prayer and the public preaching of the gospel with signs following.

WE ARE DEAD TIRED BUT FULL OF JOY: WHERE TRUE JOY COMES FROM

Seems like a paradox, doesn’t it? How can one be tired and full of joy at the same time, since the joy of the Lord is our strength? The simple answer is that the body is mortal. As a man, Jesus was full of joy (Heb. 1:9), but He got tired and needed rest, too.

“Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well” (Jn. 4:6).

The brief exchange the disciples had with Jesus gives us a clue as to the strength of His life.

In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anythingto eat? Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (Jn. 4:31-34)

Doing the will of the Father was Jesus’ food, meaning this is where His nourishment, satisfaction, and joy derived from. The will of the Father is for us not only to worship Him in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:23), but to obey Him in the great commission and be willing laborers in the harvest fields and touch people’s lives with kingdom love and power.

TRIP REPORT

Every time we minister at home and on the road, to one, a few, or many, our spirits get filled with this same nourishment, satisfaction, and joy. We just returned from the southeast where we ministered in four different places. Here are some highlights:

  • The word of knowledge continues to work through our vessels, not only for healing, but for supernatural encouragement to confirm callings, especially in pastors.
  • One such pastor had been contemplating how he could fill a new position as president of a ministerial association in his region while maintaining his excellence in his pastoral work at his own church. The Lord confirmed His will to him through revelation and prophecy. He got so happy that he ran around the building.
  • One other brother did the same as he ran around the building after prophecy and receiving a healing in his body.
  • After supernatural ministry in the Word and through demonstration of the Spirit tremendous freedom in the Spirit was released to a congregation.
  • Repentance came to many hearts in another congregation as the sword of the Spirit pricked men’s hearts to make things right with God.
  • I gave a generous tip to a hotel worker, which opened up her heart to share her recent struggles with me. I spoke to her of my life change many years ago when I received Christ and left her my testimonial tract to read.
  • A young husband with stage 4 colon cancer was prayed for and his wife just messaged me to say that the doctor was surprised when his condition showed improvement.
  • On our final night of ministry in the southeast many healings were confirmed through the word of knowledge, faith, and gifts of healing. There was much rejoicing as many hearts were gladdened.

These are just a few of the many things that happened on our recent ministry trip. We came home dead tired and yet full of joy as we entered into the labors of others. Engagement in the harvest fields of humanity fills you with joy.

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors” (Jn. 4:35-38).

Many believers in churches today are lukewarm and passive simply because they often receive but hardly ever give out. They lack the joy of the Lord and a rejoicing that comes from ministering to others. They lack the nourishment and satisfaction that comes from truly serving Jesus and advancing His kingdom. The cares and stress of daily life and entanglement in the world’s affairs and trivialities have robbed them of true communion with the Lord.

Perhaps this describes your life. The good news is you can change. It’s not the giant leaps but the simple adjustments that lead to greater fruit and freedom in your life.

If you will turn to the Lord with all your heart and offer yourself in glad service for His kingdom you will begin to experience a greater intimacy with the Lord almost immediately. Don’t necessarily look for involvement in the big church projects or programs going on, but look first to touch individual lives that God places in your path—at home, at work, or in your community. Church services and meetings should be an overflow of your total life.

Enter into the overflow of God by laying your life down for others. Even simple acts of love and kindness done for the glory of God and the good of others will not go unnoticed by the Master and will fill your heart with joy and gladness.

FROM A DEN OF THIEVES TO A HOUSE OF PRAYER (PART II): THE WEALTH GOSPEL

The problem and subtle deception today is that when preachers equate their wealth and influence to their blessedness and favor with God and find their identity therein, they enter into a kind of darkness which originates from the wisdom of Satan. There is nothing wrong with having wealth, a prosperous business, or an influential church or ministry, as long as those things do not create an identity in your heart about who you are and how you measure yourself against others. The moment you use those things as evidence of your blessedness and anointing from God, you have entered the realm of mammon worship and a subtle covetousness the Scriptures warn us about. God calls it iniquity and for this reason Jesus refers to some ministers as “workers of iniquity” (Mt. 7:21-23). While performing miracles these ministers were rejected because they were doing it for their own name and fame. Their identity was in themselves and in their ministry, and they mistakingly equated the miracles to God’s favor and blessedness.

Many modern day ministers are hirelings or misguided shepherds who preach the carnal prosperity message, who manipulate the scriptures on tithing and sowing and reaping, who use gimmicks to extract money from people, who twist the Word for selfish gain, and wrongly require seed offerings in exchange for the anointing, or who use any other such practices to steal from God’s sheep. They are the den of thieves Jesus spoke of when He cleansed the temple. These impurities are contaminating today’s Church and diluting the true glory and raw power of God.

These seducers are guilty of teaching doctrines of demons and stringing a few obscure scriptures together that make up a be-all, end-all gospel of riches. To these people, it’s disrespectful to not want to become extremely wealthy, since Jesus died that we could all have wealth. They say that Jesus was made poor so we could be rich—as if deliverance from poverty was the proof of our spiritual salvation. Is that really the sum of what the Bible teaches? This is the American gospel, my friends and God has shown me that much of the excess and covetousness so common in the West today is rooted in this evil system. Let’s remember that Jesus did not say, “Without money you can do nothing.” He said, “Without Me you can do nothing.”

Consider these facts:

Jesus said no one can serve God and mammon. He even said it would be very hard for servants of mammon to enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt. 6:24, Mk. 10:23-24).

Paul said to withdraw from those who preach gain is godliness. He told Timothy to flee the troubles, sorrows, and dangers that derive from this deceptive teaching (1 Tim. 6:5-10).

Here’s something else: Have we forgotten that Lucifer fell from heaven because of merchandizing or trading what God gave him and who God made him for power. He traded holiness for wealth. He traded his lofty position to attempt to go even higher and be an independent god. Furthermore, he disseminated that thought into Adam and Eve and they, too traded their birthright and marriage to God to become gods themselves.

Lucifer was once a perfect being; he was very rich, existing in the same domain as God, and having everything he could ever desire. According to Ezekiel 31, he was the greatest tree in the garden of God. When his heart was lifted up in his stature, iniquity flooded his being and it corrupted him; thus, he fell from his holy position and heavenly abode.

Since money did not exist in the Garden of Eden, we can substitute money for anything that would be a substitute to our marriage to God. The belief that something outside of God can replace or satisfy  our union with Him is the iniquity mentioned here, expressed as the love of money or merchandise.

And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” (Jn. 2:16). The house of prayer meant to provide the satisfaction and fulfillment of intimate communion with God had been traded or substituted as a business or worse, a den of thieves.

OTHER FACTS TO CONSIDER

Judas made a practice of stealing money from the treasury thus giving access to Satan to enter his heart and betray Jesus for even more money (Jn. 13:2). A covetous heart will always prefer money and power more than the Master.

Satan filled Ananias and Sapphira’s heart to lie about money so they could be esteemed in the eyes of men (Acts 5).

Simon the sorcerer offered money in exchange for the power of God for the same devilish reason (Acts 8).

If Lucifer, who was perfectly created and beautiful in every way moved in and out of the presence of God, and Judas who walked with Jesus for over three years both allowed their love of money to destroy their eternal destiny, what makes you think that you will not succumb to the same evil and covetousness that comes from serving mammon and not God?

This is an excerpt taken from my new book, The Cleansing Of The Temple: From A Den Of Thieves To A House Of Prayer. Look for its release sometime in the Fall of this year.
