AMERICA’S DECADENCE AND THE AWFUL FATE OF PERVERTED MEN

I can’t seem to get the image of the Democratic presidential candidate Pete “Petunia” Buttigieg introducing and kissing his husband Chasten (talk about a name for an alien entity appearing as an angel of light) out of my mind. Just as Obama’s lighting up of the White House in the rainbow gay pride colors on that fateful evening in June of 2015 when same sex marriage was legislated, this image is another signpost in the death march of a nation. According to Scripture, these sort of defiant acts always signal the beginning of the end of a society. The shock effect on this sort of heinous thing continues to be reduced as millions of people keep being numbed and desensitized to it.

Let me stir you with the fear of God using an abundance of Scripture by reminding you that God’s mind and perspective has not changed toward this abomination.

A QUEER THING HAPPENED: THE STORY OF PERVERTED MEN

The story begins in Gibeah when an old man extends hospitality to an unnamed Levite, his concubine, and his servant and lodges them for the night. In the middle of the night, however, a strange thing happens.

“As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, ‘while they were enjoying themselves, the men of the city, who were wicked men, surrounded the house and pounded on the door.’ They said to the old man, the master of the house, ‘’Bring out the man who came to your house, so we can have relations with him’” (Jud. 19:22).

The expression “perverted men” literally means “sons of Belial,” and it refers to a group of vile men who sought to satisfy their homosexual desires on the unnamed Levite visitor. The men of Sodom also made a similar request to abuse Lot’s visitors in a sadistic, homosexual manner (Gen. 19:5). These accounts reveal the decadence of both of these periods of time in Israel’s history. Homosexuality is the only reason the Scriptures give for Sodom’s destruction. Jude 7, which is referenced later in this article, confirms this also.

Ceremonial laws were specifically for Israel to obey, but moral laws are universal and apply to the entire human race. The Hebrew word for “perverted” is qadesh, which means one practicing sodomy and prostitution in religious rituals.

One of the universal moral laws of Israel states:

“There must never be a cult prostitute among the daughters of Israel nor a cult prostitute among the sons of Israel” (Deut. 23:17).

Isn’t that the height of deception—to mix sodomy and prostitution with religion?

Under God’s Law Israel was commanded to remove this type of evil and wickedness from the land. This is a type and shadow of what is now operative in this Church dispensation. Paul commanded the Corinthian church to “put away from yourselves the evil person” (1 Cor. 5:13).

We need to understand that the practices of the Old Testament do not carry over into the New Testament, but the principles do. For example, we don’t stone violators and transgressors of the Law in the same way they did in the Old Testament, but we are to apply the same principle in disciplining the church member (1 Cor. 5). Note how much harsher the penalty was under the Law.

“The tribes of Israel sent men throughout the whole tribe of Benjamin, saying, ‘What is this evil that has been committed among you? Now hand over the wicked men in Gibeah, so that we can kill them and purge the evil from Israel.’ Yet the Benjamites were not willing to listen to their fellow children of Israel” (Judges 20:12-13).

After an ensuing battle with the tribe of Benjamin, who refused to comply with God’s Law, godly order was eventually restored as the land was indeed cleansed of perversion. But the cycle of sin and perversion resurfaced again in Israel during the time of the kings.

THE BIBLE CALLS HOMOSEXUALS AND SODOMITES PERVERTED PERSONS

“And there were also perverted persons in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel” (1 Kin. 14:24).

The abominations of the nations were infiltrating into Israel and influencing them in the same way the sin and immorality of the world has infiltrated much of the Church today.

David’s son, Asa, was a godly king and he did right in the sight of the Lord and cleansed the land once more.

“And he banished the perverted persons from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made” (1 Kin. 15:12).

Jehoshaphat followed in his father Asa’s footsteps and did the same during his reign.

“And the rest of the perverted persons, who remained in the days of his father Asa, he banished from the land” (1 Kin. 22:46).

Then in a later period King Josiah did the same.

“Then he tore down the ritual booths of the perverted persons that were in the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the wooden image” (2 Kin. 23:7).

Do you see a pattern here? Israel, just as the church is today, were God’s chosen people, and they were to be separate from the world and the sin, immorality, and perversion that is in the world.

We are no longer under the Law as they were, but the Law is still good for the lawless and insubordinate (1 Tim. 1:8-10), and accounts like these are given to us as examples for our admonition (1 Cor. 10:1-11). As I said, moral laws are universal laws that apply to everyone.

THESE ARE WARNINGS TO THE CHURCH NOT TO ENTERTAIN THESE SPIRITS

These and other examples serve as a warning to the church today to stand true and hold fast to the ordinances of God so that in the end they would not suffer the same vengeance of eternal fire. We are not to let the culture of our nation dictate the direction of the Church. We are not to entertain spirits of perversion. If we do, we can actually lose our standing with God.

“But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 1:5-7).

In this Scripture “strange flesh” is speaking of homosexuality. God has not changed. His attitude toward sin and this sort of perversion has not changed.

The manifestation of the wrath of God in eternal fire against sin is seen in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Scriptures do not balk at the use of very plain language to describe the revolting sexual depravity as a prime justification for their annihilation.

The burning commentary on this record is seen in Romans 1, with Paul’s indictment of “men with men committing what is shameful” so rightly described as unnatural. By such deeds men dishonor their own bodies and become lower than the beasts of the field.

Sodomy is one of the most degraded sexual offenses, and it is appalling how our culture has embraced it and celebrated it, and continues to promote it. It’s not just the abominable sin of homosexuality but it’s gay activism or the pushing and promotion of this lifestyle that is the death rattle of any nation, as Romans 1 says.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (v. 28, 32).

Paul’s explanation of the gospel always included the wrath of God on those who will not repent. All unrighteousness and especially the perversion of sodomy usually leads men to suppress the truth and hold false views of God and the Bible because they know that the truth would require them to repent. The terrible truth is that as people continue to reject God, He gives them up to increasingly immoral and self-destructive activities (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28). How fearful of a state that is.

Look at our nation, people! We are so far down this road of decadence. The apostle Paul is clearly showing us that homosexuality is a final order of rebellion against God. It is a sure sign that a society is in the last stages of decadence. My fear is that our children and grandchildren will pay for the negligence of their irresponsible parents, humanistic teachers, and corrupt politicians. Too many are asleep and have abandoned their post.

Arise, oh mighty remnant of God and sound the trumpet to this evil generation.

AMERICA’S HELL ENLARGING THROUGH “CHRISTIAN” HYPOCRISY

The past week’s news headlines in America are a laboratory analysis and forecast of the perfect storm that is lambasting our falling nation.

America mourns as basketball legend Kobe Bryant dies, and every news station, sports talk show outlet, and media center in America covers his death and celebrates his achievements in a sport. Meanwhile, a pastor in Nigeria is beheaded for refusal to deny Christ, and no one cares.

I wrote an article a couple of days after Kobe’s untimely death about the vanity of a celebrity gaining the whole world and possibly losing his own soul, and Christians defend him and his Catholic faith, and call me a classless individual who wrote a “creepy post mortem commentary”. The article’s purpose was to simply put us in remembrance of the brevity and vanity of life without Christ, the permanence of eternity, and was a simple call to salvation.

The truth is America and many professing Christians don’t want their American dream deflated. They don’t want to know that there is a God they’re accountable to. They are like the disbelieving brothers of Jesus of whom He said:

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil” (John 7:7).

AMERICA HATES THE REAL BIBLICAL JESUS

America hates the real Biblical Jesus. Many professing “Christians” do, too, including many of our celebrities. The stronghold in America is not the sinners who love the world, but the professing “Christians” who praise Him with their mouth but whose heart is far from Him — the ones who confess His Name but in works deny Him.

Folks, here is the big problem. Many of our celebrities and star athletes confess Jesus and have “God-talk” on their lips but they do not live for Him. As an example, the Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, whom I love by the way, is being lauded for his faith in God since his childhood, yet he is living with his girlfriend and parties with his teammates. There are numerous other examples of this type of double standard and hypocrisy in America’s entertainment industry and among our celebrities.

But here’s the worse thing: American preachers defend the faith of these individuals and praise them. They exalt them before our youth as an example of a bold Christian witness, but they’re living in sin. We not only have frauds in the entertainment industry, but the high crime is that we have them in our pulpits.

Mahomes says he participates in team Bible studies and chapel services, but who is leading them and conducting them? Who is mentoring young men like him and others, and giving them the whole counsel of God. Who speaks of sin any more? Who tells them their lives are wrong? What preacher in America lives up to this job description?

“Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching” (2 Tim. 4:2).

Observe the many comments from the sleazy Super Bowl halftime show. Some of those entertainers are professing Christians. Many viewers who defended the show are professing Christians. It’s alarming to me that a professing Christian could watch this halftime show and not sense the Lord’s displeasure and be grieved in their spirit. Listen, if you are in that category, you are asleep and in great need of a rude awakening. You need to repent of your false profession and your compromise against holiness.

Have you ever read the following verses?

“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them” (Ephesians 5:3-7).

Much of “Christian” America doesn’t even know such verses are in the Bible. Such popular figures like mayor and presidential candidate Pete Puttigieg are professing “Christians” who are in a same sex marriage relationship. Honestly, it makes me want to vomit when I see half of our nation idolizing such effeminate men. Oh God, how far we have fallen from Biblical standards in America!

THE PERFECT STORM

The deception is rooted in this simple statement: We have divorced Christianity from the Bible. America is a homosexual nation because we celebrate this lifestyle and cater to them all. America’s new religion is sex in all forms, and in all fashions. We have been desensitized to sin and seduced by sex. We are a hell bound nation. The worst of it is that our children are bearing the brunt of our lust and being exploited by the thousands in the sex trafficking industry, which is so much worse than any of us know. This is all about shock value and bringing down our nation’s defenses, so that after awhile it won’t bother you.

I know many of you don’t want to hear it, but it was the Obama presidency that opened the portal of sexuality here in America to a greater measure, and accelerated this vile filth from the pits of hell. Political authority from those eight disastrous years allowed a hell-bent, full-blown deviant spirit to rule, while the church played church grow-thism and designed a consumer model to keep attendance convenient and carnal.

And worse yet, now that a true presidential leader is putting a strangle hold on some of the darkness and prevailing progressivism, and draining the national swamp of its evil, people are having hissy fits as they scream for their Sodom and Gomorrah to remain unrestricted and unrestrained. Even professing Christians are now unashamedly Trump-haters, bashing our president at every turn. Stars of champion professional sports teams, who profess Christianity, boycott their visit to the White House in protest of the most Biblical and church friendly president we’ve ever had. Shame on you. You are poor, wretched, blind, and naked.

This double standard and highly hypocritical Christianity is a recipe for disaster. It’s the perfect storm. A sleepy church and a sinful society. Unholy Christ professors and a hell bent nation. Cowards and frauds in our pulpits who won’t preach the full truth, while the world parties on into eternal damnation.

Lord, have mercy.

Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar; let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, and do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’” (Joel 2:15-17)

Unless the Church humbles herself there will be judgment in America beginning in 2020 and 2021. These years are pivotal in the governmental arena of our nation. This is not absolute but it is a severe warning. Civil unrest and civil war in parts of our nation will result in such chaos that it will open us to foreign invasion. Prophets from America and other nations are being visited and warned.

Great and sincere humility and repentance is required for judgment to pass over us or even for greater delay in it. Most Christians just want to pray judgment away and continue on with their self-centered lives, but that posture will not move the hand of God. That type of prayer and lack of humility is worthless. Attempts at avoiding judgment without true repentance evidenced by a lifestyle change is fruitless and an absolute waste of time. God sees through situational repentance which is only motivated by a desire to avoid tragedy and hardship. True repentance is a complete submission and a turning over of our lives to the Lord that is motivated by a heart-felt desire for total obedience. God will not be mocked by anything else.

We are nearer to a severe disruption in this nation that is now at the door. I believe it can be further delayed but not sure it can be stopped without massive repentance in the Church. This will affect our nation politically, governmentally, and economically. Some of us have been in a state of humility and repentance personally, but the sin is Church-wide and body-wide. It must begin at the leadership level (read my book on Cleansing The Temple where this is outlined).

IT STARTS WITH CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Church leaders are not letting Christ build His Church and have His way. They are not leading people to Christ but to their own plan and agenda. God is tired of manmade systems dominated by human wisdom. To many Church leaders the ministry is a job and a means of making a living, and attendance, buildings, and cash are the bottom line with many of them. If that’s you, you need to get out of the ministry fast because you are a liability to Christ’s Church and not an asset.

Leadership is about being a friend of the Bridegroom and getting people to Jesus and not drawing them after yourself and your vision and agenda. If you connect people to the Lord they won’t need you as much. Leaders must decrease so Christ can increase. Some leaders’ egos are too big to live like that. Leaders are ordained by God to help people connect vertically to the Lord and walk with Him.

Here are two more sin issues:

1. Sexual sin: Not only that, but many leaders and Christians are bound by sexual sin, pornography, and perversion. Their marriages and families are unstable and out of order, and yet they are trying to lead God’s people. What a sham. It is such a mess and worse than many have even thought. I praise the Lord for godly leadership, but there are so many ministers that can’t keep their pants on and are living in sexual sin.
2. Schisms and division: We must also put an end to the schisms and division that is such a black mark against the body of Christ. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Satan, the accuser of the brethren, is busy accusing members of the body and setting them against each other. If we continue to wrestle against flesh and blood, and not recognize our true enemy and his devices, we will never be in a position to exercise our authority over him and to have a great effect on both the Church and the nation.

When 9/11 happened we had fire escape religion. Many people began to attend church and consider God again in their lives, but soon the tragedy was forgotten and people went on with their sinful lives and living however they wanted to. They didn’t find the power of God in the church but got only religion. This is the problem we have today. Many people are de-churched and un-churched because they are not finding a place to be touched by God and transformed. They are receiving information but little impartation and transformation.

I’m afraid that unless we have a real crisis in our nation too many Christians and leaders will continue to yawn and slumber and sleep. Personally, I’m living as soberly as I ever have. I’m as prayerful and watchful as I’ve ever been. I’m endeavoring to walk in love and obedience more consistently than ever in my Christian life. Something is coming down the pike that is going to rattle this nation and cause great panic and fear among many. But we need not fear if we are right with God and walking with Him in true consecration and holiness.

Nuclear war is now even a very real threat and possibility. We are in the final hour of the last days and the nations are being aligned with Bible prophecy and last days events.

It’s time to wake up, humble ourselves, repent, and live for the Lord wholeheartedly. If you’re walking close to the Lord you will have wisdom and guidance for the tumultuous times ahead, peace and authority in your spirit to rule and reign, and courage to face hardship.

THE TUMULTUOUS 2020s: THE LEFTIST NARRATIVE, DIVORCE CHRISTIANITY FROM THE BIBLE

Secularized America is steeped deeply in gross darkness. Our youth are Satan’s prized trophy. Without effectual fervent intercession and a compassionate convicting message confirmed with miracles, most don’t stand a chance to ever experience true conversion and receive the life of God.

The lies of the fake media are shaping the minds of Americans, especially our youth. They’ve been lied to about their identity and who they are. They’ve been lied to about history, politics, racism and socialism. They’ve been lied to about creation, God and religion—brainwashed into seeing Christianity and Judaism in a bad light while taught Islam and other Eastern religions are good.

I have friends who work in the secular field, and they tell me that more and more young people they work with have completely lost their identity and are yielding to homosexuality, lesbianism, and transgenderism. One man told me that every other student in his drivers education class is a transgender.

AMERICA IS SICKER THAN YOU THINK

This unclean spirit has disconnected many of our youth (although it has affected all ages) to their natural instincts and connected them to confusion as they cling to another of like gender, hoping to fill the gaping hole of emptiness in their hearts. Tampering with your DNA and who your Creator made you is simply spiritual rebellion that stems from entertaining these unclean spirits, which the lies and ideologies in our culture have unleashed.

You can talk about the abuse they’ve experienced or the pain, the neglect and the emptiness they feel, and sincere believers can’t help to be moved with compassion, but we didn’t have this sort of confusion and highly visible perversion a generation ago. In fact, we’d be appalled back then if we could foresee what would be so prevalent in America today. Do we even understand that all these things signify one of the last stages of the death of a culture? Read Romans 1.

People might say that homosexuality has been around for thousands of years, but what about gay marriage and transgenderism?

This is a part of a much larger picture and grand Satanic strategy to continue to infect and further break down the moral base of our society, harass and weaken the church, and separate more of America from the moral absolutes of the Bible and what this nation was founded upon. Our first president, George Washington, said that the issues of virtue and morality are indispensable. Satan is no longer hiding his cards.

In case you haven’t noticed, this is America today: Drag queens in our schools. Pedophiles in our Boys Scouts. Increased and intensified discrimination against true Christianity. Students wear satanic T-shirts to school but cannot pray in the name of Jesus. Teachers won’t read or discuss the Scriptures with students for fear of parental prosecution. Counseling transgenders or gays is forbidden. Teenagers can get abortions on demand without parental permission. In my area, witches are cursing churches and now incanting the queer spirit over our region while many lukewarm Christians sleep and slumber through it all.

Things that were shameful and kept hidden not too long ago are now flaunted and paraded in the open. If not for a holy praying remnant that serve as the final firewall and salt and light in our nation it would be hopeless. Neither Republicans nor Democrats nor Independents nor socialists can deliver the soul of this nation.

Satan is the god of this world (see 2 Cor. 4:4), and the prince of the power of the air.

“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Eph. 6:12).

Still too many believers have become desensitized and dulled to the madness of this antichrist spirit, and too many pastors and church leaders remain silent or have yielded to gross compromise. The battle for believers is now for a unified kingdom and a church that will stand as one.

TWO SIDES

There are two sides to this matter. One side is exemplified by the recent remarks of the gay mayor from Indiana named Pete Buttigieg who proclaims unashamedly that his Creator made him gay, and if anyone has an issue with that, they should take it up with him. And now he wants to have a national discussion on what is a scriptural Christian. We should take him up on that one, although it might be a trap.

The liberal left is now making this a religious thing. It’s a new attack. Just watch. The plan going forward is to divorce Christianity from the Bible. They won’t tell you that now, but that is their strategy, especially as we get closer to the next election.

The leftists are desperate and in a frenzy because they can’t stand the thought of President Trump being elected for another four years. Look for another false narrative they’ll serve up to the American people about Trump’s connection to Bible-believing Christians. Their true colors are now being seen by many Americans, and their strategy will backfire and fail.

Here’s the other side on this matter: If you stand up to the LGBT agenda, society will ask for your head a la John the Baptist. Most recent case in point is the young Australian rugby player who was fired for essentially quoting Galatians 5:19-21, and saying that sinners, including homosexuals, are headed toward hell if they don’t repent. To add insult to the injury of being fired, instead of defending him, the most visible charismatic leader in Australia published an article condemning the brother for being unloving. This is so typical of our day, and one of the reasons the church has little power and authority. How can the church stand when we are so divided on the most basic scriptural issues of sin and repentance?

TIME FOR HOLY ZEAL

Shouldn’t we all be rallying behind our fearless brother in support of his statements? Shouldn’t we applaud him for boldly voicing his faith? Shouldn’t we proclaim with him the Word of God and tell the world that our God, who made us male and female, is deserving of all our loyalty and worship? Instead, too many professing Christians, even in so called Pentecostal/Charismatic camps, promote a false Christ and persecute those who proclaim the one true God.

This is the antichrist spirit that separates Christianity from the Bible and has opened the door to seducing spirits who are deceiving multitudes.

All professing Christians need to wake up and come out from this Babylonian system, and stand in solidarity when such condemnation is heaped on our brothers and sisters who are standing for truth, morality, and righteousness. The world expresses outrage at our stand for righteousness, and many in the church find fault with the righteous and accuse them of being unloving, condemning, and even homophobic. This should not be.

Where is the honor and the zeal for God’s house and God’s holiness? Where are those who are jealous for God’s name? Where is the spirit of the early apostles who in the midst of intense persecution proclaimed, “It is better to obey God than man?”

THE TUMULTUOUS 2020s: THE DECADE GOD’S UNDERGROUND CHURCH ARISES IN AMERICA

Someone recently asked me what I see for America and the church’s future. Right now, I am seeing the beginning and mushrooming of an evolution of sorts concerning both the nation and the church. Not everything is as it appears.

Here’s a powerful word from the Spirit of God that I’ve shared before:

“Do not look at the TV and larger media ministries to try to understand what I am doing in my body today. They have a part to play, but they are the visible to the eye veneer of the body that people see. Those who are carnal and immature see the outward appearance and are impressed, thinking that these are the height of ministry and where the Spirit is concentrating today. But they are mistaken.

See what I see, many small churches and ministries investing in relationships, walking in love, pouring their lives into each other; this is where the Spirit is moving today. There is a revolution taking place in my body, a revolution of relationships, discipleship, and love. This will affect whole communities and economies.” —John Fenn, Church Without Walls International

I believe God is giving the church, and subsequently the nation, a few more years of grace before a new season dawns. The church will remain under divine discipline until then as God awaits an earnest and heart-felt response. He is separating the wheat from the chaff. There must be a greater distinction between the world, the false and worldly church, and the true disciples of Jesus Christ through the work of the cross. Both His severity and kindness are manifesting simultaneously (Rom. 11:22) as people choose whom they will serve. A large segment of the church is being upbraided for her worldly ways and worldly thinking and her departure from the real faith.

PREPARATION AND JUDGMENT

God is preparing an underground church and a loving, consecrated people against a greater time of trouble and harvest yet to come. This is a necessary work, and more importantly, a manifestation of God’s mercy to the masses, because when the church is judged and cleansed, that is when we have the greatest impact on the world. Conversely, when there is lack of judgment in the church, it means a widespread judgment to the masses and mercy reserved for only a small righteous remnant.

“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins first with us, what shall the end be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And ‘If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” (1 Pet. 4:17-18).

As a nation, America will either rise from its original God-design purpose for her or become a byword. Although I believe God is using President Trump in amazing ways, he is not the savior of this nation. Let us not be foolish and misplace our trust. A demonic assault has been unleashed in our land, and it is manifesting in an irrational hatred toward everything that is pure, holy, and right.

Let’s not stop watching and praying because we now have a president who is a friend of the church, and the nation seems to be on an economic upswing. Don’t be fooled. There are many enemies of America and the church who are lurking in darkness and want nothing more than the death and destruction of the Christian values and liberties we hold dear. It is the biggest hurdle to socialism, globalism, humanism, and a one-world order.

MANY OF GOD’S PEOPLE ARE YAWNING

Seducing spirits are speaking lies, and doctrines of demons are rampant. Perilous times keep intensifying. Hurricanes, floods and fires rage, and volcanoes are on the brink of eruption. The frequency of the earth’s tremors and quakes is accelerating, too, as creation groans, but still so many seem unfazed. If it doesn’t affect them personally it seems so far away and unreal. In spite of all these disasters the real spirit of repentance is rare these days. What will it take to wake us up?

“My people are yawning at My intentions and will,” says the Lord.

There are still too many hirelings, misguided pastors and ministers who are still entangled in the spirit of the world, dealing with various forms of immorality, pursuing forms of materialism or flirting with some other darling lust. Some are bored in their callings and lack true communion with God. The absence of the presence of God and His holy fear is glaring in many places, and sheep are starving for the true word of life. Holiness has been replaced by hype. Appearance has been exalted over anointing.

On the other hand, it’s been very encouraging to witness struggling pastors of smaller churches who are laboring in obscurity, pressing into God in the Spirit and taking an uncompromising stand for the Lord—while others are growing increasingly discouraged and compromising for growth, or they’re just giving up and quitting. Meanwhile, many pastors of mega-churches who have a platform and means to make an impact on their community and nation have grown comfortable and self-congratulatory in their false success.

We need so much fire and holiness in the pulpits of America right now, but all we seem to be getting is smoke and noise as men are caught up in their own self-importance and image. We have some of the largest churches we’ve ever had in the history of our nation and yet the greatest departure from the true faith. What a paradox! Many professing Christians don’t have solitude with God, hardly read their Bibles any more, or bear any kind of Christian witness, but seem to only depend on  what their favorite elevated preacher says.

And so the moral landslide continues and antichrist legislation keeps forcing its hand in our land while our more visible superstar preachers and slick televangelists boast of their empty paper exploits while reveling in their creature comforts and raking in their millions. My point is that we are barely making any kind of impact on the culture of sin.

I weep at the deception of it all and the many preachers who are actual enemies of the cross of Christ and bound for destruction and perdition.

TANGIBLE FRUIT OR A NUMBERS GAME?

Where are the testimonies from these celebrity ministers of massive repentance resulting in genuine conversions of lasting fruit, mighty baptisms of the Holy Spirit, and notable deliverances from those who have death-gripping addictions? Instead, most of American Christianity glorifies the hype of noisy conferences, emotionally stimulating popcorn services and hipster preachers who never speak of sin, true holiness, and repentance. God has only a faithful remnant who are seeing beyond the surface and who hear the rumblings of a massive change and shaking that is coming.

It’s all a numbers game that some of these mega ministries and churches are playing, and it’s the money that seems to matter most to these men with mega egos. I’m sure a few of them actually love people, but most of them really have no ground strategy. The small guy that’s making a marked difference at a grass roots level is not esteemed nor fully supported.

I know many of my former students and friends who have such a strong anointing to impact our culture, but many in the body of Christ are duped into supporting the popularity of elevated ministries who teach, teach, teach, but can never provide a quantitative account of transformed lives. They have millions of dollars in support but little fruit to show for it. It’s time to address this farce and inequality and reevaluate our giving and direct it toward those who are most worthy.

I know of sacrificial missionaries who work in gospel-starved areas among the unreached, ministries who are saving young victims of sex trafficking, those who are building hospitals for the sick and elderly and orphanages for the fatherless, and Christian organizations who support the persecuted church and families of martyrs. Most of these ministries operate on such a minimal budget in comparison to others with multimillion-dollar budgets who teach those who’ve already been taught. Let’s be honest with ourselves. We are a teaching-saturated culture with minimal tangible fruit.

And what are we teaching? A sugar-coated, feel-good word that keeps the church self-centered, anemic, and ineffective while thinking they are in revival. The power of redemption has been removed from the gospel, and our nation is paying for it. I’m afraid the fake love and tolerance gospel has come home to roost.

SOUND THE ALARM

Do I sound like an alarmist? Perhaps, but a loud alarm is necessary to wake up the sleepy, yawning church.

The book of Revelation is alarming to me when I read of the death, destruction, and judgment of the nations. The Bible is not all peace and happiness, but full of warnings and casualties. And such an alarm must be sounded in this hour if we are going to give birth to real change.

History remembers mighty moves of God, not megachurches and mega-ministries who are not known in hell. Are there any great mega churches and mega ministries? Perhaps a few, but not many. I’m afraid most of them have only added to the deception, providing an appearance of false success—a facade to hide all that’s wrong with the American church with most having no impact on the culture of sin.

May God’s underground church arise in America.

THE CALLING OF A CHURCH AND A NATION BACK TO GOD

If ever there was a time when true apostles and prophets must arise in America and the world, it is now — not only to give prophetic words of what the future holds, but with holy conviction, to call a Church and a nation back to the true worship of God, to drive out the money changers, and to call us back to true Spirit-inspired, fervent, effectual prayer and fasting, and holy character. They must also confront the elite vipers of iniquity and warn the false apostles and prophets of their whitewashed walls and false claims to peace, and to cry out to the people to repent and return to God. Both John the Baptist and Jesus did this as well as the writers of the New Testament.

Now is the time to flee the existing superficial version of Christianity and our false, unholy allegiances and return to a lifestyle that reflects the humility and meekness of our Master. It is an hour when true ministers must move away from the rat race of professional ministry, money-making schemes, and the pursuit of fame, popularity, and media exposure, and be made whole in God’s presence and through God’s love.

Only true friends of the bridegroom whose character has been shaped in the crucible of their own sufferings and earned God’s trust are qualified to lead a Church and a nation back to God. They alone shall know the secret and heart of the Lord.

“The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant” (Ps. 25:14).

Notice how this verse reads in the Living Bible:

“Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises.”

Too many modern apostolic and prophetic voices are tainted because they are too eager for power, popularity, influence, riches, and fame. They seek more the validation and affirmation of men at the neglect of truly living and speaking in the sight of God. The road can be lonely and difficult at times, but we endanger ourselves when we seek the validation of man over the validation of our heavenly Father. We must begin to align ourselves with the heart of Christ and see clearly what is within man, and rather than seek approval in the flesh, prefer at all costs the approval of God. This will keep us preferring purity over popularity, intimacy over influence, and holiness over hype.

A heartfelt reliance and preference for the approval of God over the approval of man is what distinguishes all true apostles and prophets from counterfeits and wannabes. The same could be said for all ministers and all saints. For there will come a time when they must not only speak out against the carnal and sinful status quo, but shake off those religious, political, and cultural traditions that run contrary to what God demands and expects of His people. This cannot happen unless they love and fear God more than man. This also cannot happen unless they have an exceedingly great zeal for the honor of God’s house, who we are.

THESE THINGS SAYS HE WHO HAS A SHARP TWO-EDGED SWORD

My wife is a praying woman. She has an incredible grace to draw forth wisdom and counsel from the Spirit of God. A few years ago prolific utterances began to flow from her vessel whenever we’d pray together. I began recording and transcribing them.

My new book, Cleansing The Temple, was birthed this way.

One day when we were praying together three scriptures flashed before her that instantly bore witness with both of us. They were Acts 5 with Ananias and Sapphira; Acts 8 with Simon the sorcerer; and Acts 19 with the burning of the magic books. Like the burning of the magic books in Acts 19, the Holy Spirit revealed His desire to burn up the corrupting values in church culture today that are restricting the true manifestation of the glory of God.

When judgment fell on Ananias and Sapphira the fear of the Lord also fell on both the church and the world (Acts 5). It had a polarizing effect on those who heard of it. Today when many pastors are toning down on the demands of Christ and the workings of the Holy Spirit to spike up the numbers of church members, there was a certain exclusivity and distinct dividing line at work in the early church.

Notice the effect:

“But even though people admired them a lot, outsiders were wary about joining them. On the other hand, those who put their trust in the Master were added right and left, men and women both” (Acts 5:13-14 – Message).

As a result, the glory and power of God increased and multitudes continued to come to the Lord. Sincere repentance was the fruit of it all.

This is a necessary work that must be done today for the Church to be cleansed of its iniquities and impurities. Holiness and the fear of the Lord must be restored in the church as a result of these judgments. This work must be done before the Lord returns for His glorious church.

The book touches on many other aspects of judgment and glory, but this is the central issue. This is a real word from the Lord for this hour. It will prepare the church for the tumultuous decade of the 20s that’s just a few months away.

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT THE GLORY?

Ananias and Sapphira’s sin was lying about the amount of money they contributed to the thriving church in Jerusalem. But the greater sin was the root of why they did it. There was a great move of God going on during the inception of the early Church, which compelled many believers to sell their possessions and lay the proceeds at the apostles’ feet (Acts 4:34-35). Ananias and Sapphira wanted to be a part of this great move but for the wrong reasons, so they conspired together to lie about the total amount they were giving.

“Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last” (Acts 5:9-10).

The Church is referred to as the pillar and ground of truth. No lie could stand within it in its glorious beginnings.

“I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).

Have you ever thought of how the very first act of judgment in the early Church was concerning a lie? That is very significant. The lie represents a mask of religion and hypocrisy that fills many churches today and is diluting the glory of God. The early Church was cleansed and purged immediately from what Ananias and Sapphira were attempting to introduce into the local body in Jerusalem.

More than the love of money, hypocrisy was the main issue. Jesus called hypocrisy “…the leaven of the Pharisees.”

“Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy” (Lk. 12:1).

Leaven is yeast, and it has a fermenting effect on dough, which is what causes the bread to rise. And since it takes only a small amount of yeast to transform an entire lump of dough, Jesus is warning His disciples that it takes only a little bit of what the Pharisees have to ruin a person. Paul said that a little leaven leavens the whole lump (1 Cor. 5:8). In Christ’s estimation, the conduct of these Pharisees had a leavening and corrupting effect upon those who followed their example. Just a tiny amount of the leaven of the Pharisees would be sufficient to turn a man into a bad and useless person.

In other words, what Ananias and Sapphira were introducing into the young body in Jerusalem had the potential to ruin what God was doing. Was there malicious intent on their part to ruin anything or hurt anyone? I don’t believe so, but the glory was so pure and white hot in the early beginnings of the Church age that even a lie without presumed malicious intent could not stand. If it was allowed to stand and not be judged, it would have spread.

A lack of accountability and righteous judgment today is a huge problem in the Church, enabling the leaven of sin to spread like a cancer. Biblical discipline is sorely lacking. First and second admonitions to correct the unrepentant are uncommon and dis-fellowshipping from such is nearly unheard of.

“A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject” (Titus 3:10 — KJV).

I don’t want to excuse Ananias and Sapphira by telling you that there seemed to be no malicious intent to harm anyone. They did conspire together and agree together to tell this lie, and it was Satan that filled their heart to do this (Acts 5:3). That alone makes it evil and wicked.

Masks of religion and veils of hypocrisy are a great stumbling block to the manifestation of His glory and power. God doesn’t expect perfection, but He expects honesty and transparency. The lie, veiled in hypocrisy, that was told by Ananias and Sapphira was against the Holy Spirit, and it is representative of the leaven that fills much of the Church today.

The Greek word for hypocrite or hypocrisy is hupokrisis, which literally means “reply.” The word came to denote a theatrical performance by one who spoke in dialogue. Then it was used of play-acting, role-playing, pretending, and, hence, acting insincerely — hypocrisy. A hypocrite conceals his true motives under a cloak of make-believe.

Today we have a generation of Ananiases and Sapphiras who would lie for the honor and glory of men rather than tell the truth for the honor and glory of God (Acts 5). Layers of lies and false projections and motives have produced veils of deception and masks of religion that have caused the glory to diminish and depart. If we learn to live in the sight of God instead of the sight of man, hypocrisy will be flushed out of our lives, and the glory of God would increase personally and collectively in the Church.

The early Church had just been birthed and was localized in Jerusalem only at this time. It was yet in an embryonic stage of development. Just as doctors can often detect something wrong in the early stages of a pregnancy, so did the apostle Peter by the revelation of the Holy Spirit detect a lie in the Church.

“But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?” (Acts 5:1-3)

When people sell everything and come and lay the money at the feet of genuine apostles in order to distribute it among the needy, that is a major move of God. The love of money had no hold on these early believers. It was not a requirement for anyone to sell their possessions. They did it willingly. The problem was that Ananias and Sapphira lied about the amount they gave for the insidious reason of wanting to be esteemed in the eyes of man. The root of their sin was not in what they did, but in why they did it.

Ananias and Sapphira avoided financial disclosure and tried to make the records appear as if they had given a larger percentage than what they actually gave. But the real motive connected to their lie had to do with pride and wanting to be highly esteemed in the church. It is one of the first teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men” (Matt. 6:1-2).

Ananias and Sapphira touched the glory of God with the desire for the glory of men. That was the root issue. In my humble opinion, this is also the root issue in the modern Church, and in every generation, it is the one thing that dilutes and diminishes the glory of God quicker than anything else. Jesus can only build His Church on purity and truth. When there are strong moral convictions about honesty and purity in all areas of our lives, and a true humility among ministers and saints, there will be a greater glory in the Church.

Much of the glory we’ve had in the modern-day Church has been the glory of man. The reason there’s been so little judgment today like that which fell on Ananias and Sapphira is because of the absence of the true glory of God, for this level of severe judgment that produces death is always in proportion to the present level of glory.

Consecration to God in holiness and purity is vital to increasing the glory of God in the Church.

KEY TO CLEANSING THE LATTER HOUSE: JUDGMENT AND THE FEAR OF THE LORD

I believe there is no other way the modern day Church will be cleansed from all its hypocrisy and impurities derived from the worship  of mammon, except through judgment that produces the fear of the Lord. It may come through hardship, death, or even a crisis of massive proportions such as a civil war to bring this about. The landscape of Christianity must be cleansed, so that the Church’s impact can be much more far reaching. Without widespread and deep repentance and awakening,  this may be the only solution and remedy to the current idolatrous condition of the church world. The power and glory of God may not be restored to the Church any other way. We are so far gone and numb to the true condition of the nation and the Church that this may be the only remedy to true restoration (see this recent article by my friend Michael L. Brown – How Can We Be So Numb?). A severe shaking may be our last line of hope.

Let’s take a close look at the first miracle of judgment in the early Church that cleansed it immediately of the sin and hypocrisy that was seeking entrance. This judgment kept it strong and pure and increased its power and impact.

“In hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. And great fear came on all those who heard these things” (Acts 5:5).

“At once she (Sapphira) fell down at his feet and died. Upon entering, the young men found her dead and carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear came on the entire church and on all those who heard these things. Many signs and wonders were performed among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon’s Porch. No one else dared join them, but the people respected them. Believers were increasingly added to the Lord, crowds of both men and women” (Acts 5:10-14).

Can you see how this cleansing led to increased fear and power with many believers being added to the Lord?

We often forget these portions of Scripture and how this judgment produced the component of the fear of the Lord, which stopped this lie and other impurities from having access into the early Church, thus preserving its white hot purity and keeping it from being defiled. This miracle of judgment contributed to the glory, power, and growth of the early Church. Notice also the effect it had on the people:

“No one else dared join them (the disciples), but the people respected them” (Acts 5:13).

The Message Bible says it this way: “But even though people admired them a lot, outsiders were wary about joining them. On the other hand, those who put their trust in the Master were added right and left, men and women both.”

Could these incidents of judgment in the early Church be a type and shadow of what we may expect in the last days Church in both the coming judgment and glory:

Could it be that preachers who have peddled the word of God for gain have their ministries judged and some even be publicly humiliated and taken out of the way?

Could churches and ministries that have been built on compromise and the wisdom of man see a mass exodus as people begin to seek pure truth and authenticity as well as the reality of the Holy Spirit and the power of God?

Could we see organizations and companies who have used their power and wealth to persecute the righteous be shaken and some big CEO’s even die? Could we also see the same type of judgement on leaders of nations who persecute the glorious Church and do not give glory to God (think of king Herod; Acts 12:23)?

I believe we will see these kind judgments again but only as the glory increases and is restored to the true Church.

POLARIZATION: ONE EFFECT OF GOD’S JUDGMENTS AND THE FEAR OF THE LORD

The judgment that fell on Ananias and Sapphira caused sinners to be leery of joining themselves to the apostles and the church while at the same time gaining public respect and influence. This divided or polarized those who were not interested in genuine repentance and living whole-heartedly for the Lord from the multitudes that were being genuinely converted and being added to the church. Oh how we need this work done today in this era of postmodern and so called progressive Christianity! It would root out so much complacency, carnality, and compromise.

The dividing line was very distinct in the early Church. In a day when we are trying to include everyone into our sheepfolds by toning down on the demands of the gospel, there was a certain exclusivity that the judgments of God and the fear of the Lord produced in the Church’s earliest beginnings. People couldn’t enter in with sin in their lives. In many places today, it is difficult to tell the difference between the Christian and non-Christian, but not in the early Church. God wants to restore this polarization in the Church of today.

PRAYER AND PROPHECY CONCERNING THE CLEANSING OF CHRIST’S CHURCH

While waiting on the Lord in prayer before an evening meeting in a particular city the communications of the Spirit of God began to flow…(Carolyn and I recorded it and then transcribed it). For the last several years this has been our pattern and mode of operation. We have 100s of pages of prayer notes, or prayer jottings, as we like to call them. We’ve been praying about redesigning our blog and calling it The Prayer Jotter, and also writing a book on the wisdom of God that has come forth during these special times. Following is a lengthy one for spiritually minded people:    

And even here you know something is not right and you’ve been picking it up in your spirit, but you’re not seeing anything for it’s been masked…

It’s very skilled at being deceptive…it’s veiled in religion…a mask of religion… and its only a certain kind of utterance and power that is going to break through this very strong veil of deception.

Tongues…

I see that Lord, so we can’t go in light and fluffy for it’s all disguised in that religious display.

More tongues…

So this then is why the demonstration of My power, not with enticing words of man’s speech, is necessary here (1 Cor. 2:4-5), for this mask that has been here knows what to say, knows what to look like on a Sunday, knows how to pretend and is very good at it, but their faith must be established in the power of God.

We just surrender now to the Holy Ghost and power, to the One who shows us Your heart and Your will, shows us the sick and diseased, and shows us and penetrates through with the preaching that cuts to the heart, and separates the soul.

Hebrews 4:12-13  “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

Lots of tongues, heaving…

This utterance must come forth to break through the veil of religion, to break through that deceptiveness that is here…and what Ananias and Sapphira were trying to do, because they saw people doing it so they did it, too.

But the anointing and the power and the glory were too great at that time to allow deception. That lie could not walk past the anointing and the one who was walking in the spirit of truth (Peter), for it not to be recognized as a covering and a veil to bring in an impure spirit, a falsehood, and a lie.

And what was going on at that time? There was such a great awareness of the truth of Jesus Christ; there was such an anointing and a power in the body.

There were miracles going on outside the church walls with the shadow of Peter…there was demonstration and power that was being seen, yes, that was going on. The demonstration of the Spirit of the Lord was upon My people, My ministers, so much so that they didn’t need to be in a building; they just had to walk the streets and there I was moving. Yes, that same power that raised Christ from the dead was upon them and could move even away from them and the shadow, yes, even the shadow, which was My Spirit, was healing and delivering and moving through My apostles at that time.

Tongues…

Yes, and even the preaching that came forth was causing hearts to decide, either to disbelieve and oppose, and get angry at the words coming forth, or repent, be glad and rejoice.

Can you not see what it looks like? Can you not understand what it looks like when I am moving? There is power and there is an utterance and a word that causes there to always be a dividing, and you said it through your own words and through your own mouth that I either make them glad, sad, or mad.

This is evidence of My Spirit moving and My Spirit in dominance and the authority on My ministers of reconciliation.

Tongues…

You see it’s almost like He’s highlighted this morning the beginning of Acts where it started, how there was an anointing, how the Holy Spirit first came through a people who prayed and were consecrated and waited on Him, and He came like a whirlwind and the people automatically went out of the upper room and into the streets…that is automatic and that is something you should see and recognize, even in the body today.

When the Holy Spirit is poured out people cannot stay in the pew; they have to go out to the streets for there’s an activation.

And so you have seen, and so don’t you remember when you went to_________? Aahh, I remember when we were moving in the Spirit at _____________ and how gifts were activated and how some started waking up when the Spirit was released, and yet that leader stopped it because of being in control, and all of a sudden it was all stopped. And what was the release and what happened out of that?

It burst, and instead of life, it brought forth adultery in the body and it brought forth coldness and people walking away; it brought forth people being taken away, this marriage being destroyed, this one going off into false doctrine, that one moving away from God and becoming cold and it brought forth a dry cold monument of religion.

Whenever someone or something comes to stop (a move of God) that is the result…the work of Satan, the work of death…but oh remember how it all started and how they let the Holy Spirit move and Peter got up and preached, and the word cut to their hearts and there were so many that came to the Lord and believed, and then there was a movement in homes.

But understand what tried to come with Ananias and Sapphira was disguised in religion, disguised with a mask of pretension, but because of the sensitivity of the ministers (Peter), they were watching and they saw it as soon as it moved by. There was a discernment that came because the Holy Spirit was in charge and He recognized in the disguise that which was false.

But oh how many today would allow Ananias and Sapphira to walk in the door with their pay checks, with their checkbooks, with their debit cards and credit cards, and their bank accounts, and say: “Oh, God told us to give this to you pastor, and oh they would be received and yet it was a messenger of Satan; it was a pride that got in, and then there comes the control through the money…a control of what goes on through the Spirit because of the money.

Tongues…

And so I see the disguise that’s gone in and infiltrated the church in this area.

They know what to say, they know what to do, they know how to come in, and make havoc of pure things that may have started with the right heart, but oh…

They know how to raise their hands, they know how to dress, they know how to move, they know what to say…

It’s a disguise I say.

But now me and Bert pray, for we have a little bit of understanding now. You told us to come in demonstration, for how will they even pay attention, how will their faith even be in the words that are spoken, except they first see the power of God—the pure power of God.

Thank You for this revelation and understanding and what we’re dealing with in this religious spirit.

Now let’s give place to praying in the the Spirit together…

Honest with God, honest with God…the honesty and unveiling starts with God; it starts with an individual’s relationship with the Lord, it starts with transparency, it starts with an unveiled face, it starts by beholding the glory of the Lord as in a mirror…it starts vertically with every believers’s relationship with the Lord…for you cannot hide from God…you can put a mask on but He sees through the mask.

For nothing is veiled but all is open and naked before Him with whom we have to give account and every creature is naked before God. For the sharp sword of His Word cuts through the soul and spirit and the joints and marrow and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart.

You cannot hide from Him!

So there is the need to walk before Him in purity and integrity and honesty without defilement and without guile and without hypocrisy and without malice, and as babes in Christ, desiring the sincere milk of the Word so that you may grow thereby.

As babes, as babes…for He hides His wisdom from the wise and prudent, but He reveals them unto babes, so as babes, desire the pure milk of the Word. And receive the wisdom, yea, even the hidden secrets of God.

Tongues…lots of tongues…

I’m reminded that the true apostolic and the true prophetic is in this manner—that it turns the hearts of the people towards God; it turns the motives of the hearts of the people towards God, and that which is veiled and masked is ripped apart, so that they see even as they should see and are known even as they’re known, not even just through a glass darkly, but in the Spirit they see, even as God sees what He desires for them to see at that moment and at that time.

So I see where we forget that that operation is supernatural and is such an integral and critical part of the apostolic and the prophetic even as you just said when ___________ ministered at __________, and his opening statements ripped a veil and ripped a mask off the fake and phony carnal prosperity gospel and it turned the motives of people’s hearts immediately toward God,  and it put them face to face with God and with pure truth, and then they decide.

For too many have spoken smooth words from smooth lips when there’s been war in their hearts.

Oh but the truly apostolic and prophetic even as seen in the early apostles and Peter in the early Church, oh, it ripped that mask and that veil and political talk (correctness) right off of people.

So I see the Church has had a mask, and many things have been veiled even as You have shown us today, and the great need is for true apostles and prophets to come with strong words and a certain kind of utterance that would penetrate and unmask and unveil those things which are hidden and that are hindering the Church and God’s people and pure truth from seeping through…hindering the true move of the Spirit of God, for the Spirit cannot be yoked with darkness, and what manner of agreement has God with Baal, and how can we dine at the table of God and the table of devils, and what accord has light with darkness?

So you see even the need of the hour, even as you’re beginning to write that My house shall no more be called a den of thieves but a house of prayer.

So you see that there must be a cleansing and there must be a purification before the true power can really come, for if the power comes without the purification the deception would grow and people would say, “Oh, God is pleased with us for He’s demonstrating His power and pouring out His Spirit and therefore He must be pleased,” and then people would continue to walk on in their blindness and in their deception.

For I will not pour out My power on a church that is blemished and full of pride and sin and deception…no, no, no for that would only further add to the deception that already is.

So there must be a purification, a purifying, a sanctifying, a cleansing of all the impurities that have been veiled and masked.
