THE 50 HEALING VERSES THAT SUSTAINED ME

When I was hospitalized with a minor stroke ( I say minor because I was admitted quickly in a window of time that minimized the damage, which I am eternally grateful for) I searched for the best healing verses with the most inspirational background music I could find. Here is the video version of what I thought was the best followed by the verses I typed out for your edification and comfort. It’s in the NIV, which is not one of my favorite versions, so for those who feel the same, I’ve added the New King James verses in bold print below each NIV verse. These verses will build your faith for healing and divine health and soundness and starve your doubts to death if you’ll listen to them and meditate on them and confess them. Some of them are repeated twice for emphasis by the creators of the video. I hope they are a blessing to you. Feel free to print them out and pass them on. You don’t need all 50 to get healed. All you need is one that is alive in you to be healed, but they will all help you familiarize yourself with the many healing verses in the Bible and build a solid faith life.

AMAZING TESTIMONY OF KENNETH E. HAGIN’S DILIGENCE IN THE WORD

My spiritual father in the faith, Kenneth E. Hagin, once faced a health crisis with his little daughter Pat. She had a growth in one of her eyes. He had scriptures on healing marked out in his Bible and spent time meditating on them during the nighttime where he would sleep an hour and then stay up for an hour meditating on the scriptures pertaining to her daughter’s healing. He did that all night, one hour sleeping, and the next hour awake, and meditating on the scriptures. He did that for two nights in the midst of conducting some meetings himself. This really impressed upon me the importance of being diligent to put the word of God in your heart. After filling his heart with faith by meditating on the healing scriptures, he called home and told Pat that she was healed. That day the growth she had on her eye disappeared. Glory to God! The Word works, but you have to work the Word.

The reason many are weak in faith today is because they don’t feed their faith this way with the same diligence and attentiveness.  If it worked for Bro. Hagin it can work for anybody. We just need to apply the Word with the same diligence he did. I know the following scriptures are many, but you don’t have to use all of them. Listen to the video and see which ones the Holy Spirit quickens to you. That is what I did while I was in the hospital for 16 days, and it is what sustained me and gave me hope.  When I had the stroke I was disappointed and tempted to be sorrowful and depressed, but listening to the scriptures via video each day and night got me through that difficult time. It put hope and then faith in me. You can do the same. I put this lengthy blog together because I want to help the sick and diseased to get healed. I want to give you hope and faith is the substance of things hoped for (Heb. 11:1).

You might say, well,” I’m not sick”, but if you’ll wait until the day when sickness and disease attacks your body, you’ll be on the defensive, but if you’ll continually fill your heart with healing and health scriptures now, you’ll have reserves to call on when the evil day comes. Or you’ll just walk in divine health where you won’t ever have sickness and disease. I hope you”ll do the latter and build your faith constantly throughout your life because sickness and disease is one of the main areas where Satan will attack people, and Christians are not exempt.

We have the promise of health and healing. #God'sPromises | Gods ...

MY PUBLIC STATEMENT ON MY HEALTH AND CONDITION

On Thursday March 19 I had a minor stroke that left me with limited mobility on my left side. I spent a few days in the hospital before transferring to a rehab center where I am currently receiving intensive therapy. I will be okay and recover full mobility and then some. God has been good to me and will restore my health and heal all my wounds (Jer. 30:17).

Furthermore, God has communicated many things to me during this time concerning adjustments I need to make going forward. My faith is arising and I am filled with hope for the future. What many people don’t yet know is that my wife Carolyn was scheduled for surgery on March 18 that was postponed due to the virus. A blessing in disguise indeed, because I was to take care of her after her surgery, but now am needing care myself.

In the end we will both be okay and fully recover in the mighty Name of Jesus. The only thing is that we have to postpone our ministry travel schedule until further notice.

Until further notice we have temporarily postponed our ministry travels
.

WHY DID THIS HAPPEN

Very simply, it was a demonic attack against our lives and ministry. I’ll leave it right there. One reality about true faith is that it never accuses God. To do that is to side in with the devil, who is the true accuser of God and the brethren. I will never give him any self-satisfaction for what he put me and my family through. But I can tell you that by the power of the Holy Spirit he will pay. As a matter of fact, he already is as nearly everyone who has served me in the hospital and rehab center has heard the gospel, and I led my roommate in a sinner’s prayer yesterday here. We will come at him hard. God will restore us physically and multiply us spiritually. We will see more healings and miracles going forward than we’ve ever seen in our lifetime by the mighty power of God.

Some have asked why I didn’t tell anyone. Honestly, we just are not those kind of people. As the Lord said to a good friend of mine who recently had major surgery when he was about to ask everyone for prayer on Facebook:

“I told you to cast your cares on Me, not Facebook.”

Isn’t that good? Please don’t feel sorry for us or pity us. Unbelief is detrimental to our fullest recovery. We appreciate compassion, faith filled prayers, and Spirit-inspired intercession but not begging nor accusing God for what happened. I trust you understand. There are a few close friends who pray and are full of faith that we disclosed  this trial to, and they have been a great blessing to us. You know who you are. Your love, faith, and prayers have ministered great strength to Carolyn and I.

Although we appreciate everyone’s love, care, and concern, I  want to also tell you that due to therapy I do not have time to answer people’s questions or respond to personal inquiries.  Please respect our privacy and give us time. We are in touch with a few dear close friends including our pastors and partners, and that is sufficient .

WHAT ABOUT FINANCES

Besides putting all my efforts into therapy and giving myself to prayer, I will still be writing articles and working on another book that has been birthed in me during this trial. But we simply cannot travel like we were doing so extensively before. If you want to sow a financial seed or contribution to our ministry, that is your prerogative. You follow the Lord and do what He says. We want to be sensitive to churches and believers in this hour of great national crisis that is difficult on believers and churches and causing a financial burden on many. God is our Source and we fully trust Him to take care of us personally and ministerially. We are His beloved children and His love has overwhelmed us during this time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Finally, please be careful not to add or take away from anything I’ve said here. That is how rumors spread. One person twists the story, then another adds to it, and before you know it, accuracy is totally lost.

Please know that this will turn out to be a historic year in our calendar and timeline with God.  Carolyn and I are in positive spirits and rejoicing in God’s intervention and my miraculous recovery. Carolyn is also in perfect peace concerning her surgery.  We are under the overcoming glory of God right now. Now that this has finally been made public  I will occasionally be giving you updates of our progress and sharing fresh revelation. I will tell you one thing, never has the Word of God been as precious to me as it’s been over the last couple of weeks. I have fed on His healing Word nearly day and night and it is alive in my heart.

Thank you everyone for your love and concern. We will fully recover and be fully restored.

Love,

Bert (and Carolyn)

THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: IS GOD CHALLENGING THE MODERN GODS OF OUR DAY?

Sports, entertainment, materialism, education…these are your gods America. These are the gods of many within the Church who perhaps have not yet even entered the kingdom. This Coronavirus crisis is exposing these gods. Not just here in America but globally it seems God is shutting these things down.

Movies theaters and malls are closed. Restaurants are closed. Colleges, universities, and schools are closed. It’s not necessarily sinful to enjoy these centers of entertainment and institutions of learning, but remember Lot’s wife. Remember the lessons and Biblical accounts from Noah’s day and Lot’s day and what Jesus warned us of.

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.  Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).

Now that our lives are less consumed with these gods, less busy with our own agendas… now that we have more down time at home… perhaps people are learning to be a family again, perhaps parents and children are having more communication and time to evaluate their spiritual lives, and even erect a family altar of soul searching, repentance, and prayer as well as Bible time. At least that is my hope.

Some may disagree, but this crisis is not really God’s severe judgment, but actually an act of mercy to prepare us for something more. Something far worse is coming in the not-so-distant future. Right now we need to be purged and cleansed from our idols and positioned for a tumultuous decade that has only just begun (The Tumultuous 2020s). God grieves over the condition of many hearts in this hour, the sin and idolatry in our lives, the many distractions and lack of wholeheartedness in us. God wants our hearts, because without this surrender He knows it will not be well for us going forward.

Many are praying amiss concerning the Coronavirus. It is a time of testing, soul searching, repentance, and submission to God — not a time of wrangling and debating this crisis, wondering whether it is a big conspiracy that China or our own government is behind, and/or flippantly rebuking, binding, and loosing everything that upsets our comfortable, cozy little life.

It is a time for sobriety and sincere repentance from the god of mammon, and looking away from the temporal toward that which is eternal.

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Cor. 4:18).

God is silencing the temporal so we can hear the eternal. He is silencing the voices of these gods and idols we’ve made, so we can hear His voice clearly. He’s removing the distractions that have kept you from Him. If American Christians would now give time and space for humility and repentance, fasting, praying, and seeking God we could stay the hand of God’s judgment. Realize though, that some things can be stopped or delayed but not changed.

GREAT TRIBULATION COMING

Some will label me a doomsday preacher for my next words, but in actuality, I’m very excited about my future. The Bible paints a very positive picture for the saints without skipping over how bleak and terrible the future is for the sinful, the evil, and the unrepentant. Call that doomsday if you’d like, but while the Scriptures declare God’s mercy in abundance, it does not avoid the reality of God’s judgments.

This world is on the verge of the greatest tribulation it has ever faced in its entire history, and God loves us too much to not give us opportunities to turn whole-heartedly to Him. God does not want to allow devastation to come to this earth without granting us a chance to get our hearts right. What makes us think that we are exempt from what the Bible has already foretold.  A time of tribulation and then great tribulation is coming. The sky is blackened. Storm clouds are appearing on the horizon. The worse may not come tomorrow, or next month, or next year, or even in the next few years (although I personally believe we’re at the door), but be assured that the storm is coming… one unlike anything most of us have ever seen in our lifetimes. This is not a scare tactic or gloom and doom hyper-drama, but it is reality. It is what Jesus foretold.

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Lk. 21:25-26).

Too many people are afraid of a little pandemic that is a light affliction compared to what is coming, but they are not afraid of God Almighty. People are afraid of a virus that causes flu-like symptoms, which has been way overblown by globalist interests and the lying media, but they’re not afraid of a hell that burns with fire and brimstone. They’re afraid the economy might sink, but they’re not afraid they’ll sink into Satan’s damnable abyss, forever lost without God.

With every worsening crisis God is telling us that Jesus is coming soon. With every worldwide calamity His voice speaks that His coming is near. The Church is slumbering and sleeping and many foolish virgins lack the oil of the Holy Ghost, and they are not hearing the Bridegroom’s knock nor ready for His entrance.

May I encourage you to shut off the voices of these modern gods. Shut off the voices of the media pundits and talking heads who know nothing of the kingdom of God. Shut off the voices of entertainment and technological gadgets and games. Please start listening to God.

Once again, this virus doesn’t compare to the catastrophes that will unfold in these end times. There is a time when the very earth will shake with the greatest seismic tremors ever, the seas will roar with the greatest tsunamis ever, the heavens will be shaken, too and the stars will fall, and there is even a time where men will wish for the rocks from the mountains to fall on them so they can die.

And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb” (Rev. 6:15-16)!

HEAVEN: HOME OF THE HOLY

I remember years ago during one summer ministry trip to the West Coast I went to a park on a day off to lay out in the sun. I put a blanket down and was laying flat on my back with my eyes closed just minding my own business. Suddenly I sensed the presence of evil in that place. As I sat up and looked around I realized that I was in a homosexual park. My spiritual nature did not jell with the spirits that were in that park. Do you think homosexual spirits would be at home in heaven? What about adulterers and fornicators? Liars and thieves? Murderers and child molesters? Even the cowardly and the unbelieving will not be there, but will instead have their part somewhere else.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Rev. 21:8).

If you had just arrived on the earth after living in heaven for a long time the atmosphere and conditions of the earth would repulse you. Sin has cursed the earth. Man’s sinful nature has polluted the entire planet.

Why do think there are strife-filled marriages and broken homes? Why do you think there are unwanted pregnancies and abortions? Battered wives and abused/neglected children? Drug addicts and alcoholics? Murders and suicides? Thefts and rapes? Adulteries and fornication?Homosexuals and lesbians? False religions and cults? Fightings and wars? Jails and prisons? It’s because of sin!

There is no sin in heaven. There is no one with a sinful nature in heaven. There are no places of sin up there in the glory world. There are no police, no funeral parlors, no hospitals, no prisons, no houses of prostitution, no bars or night clubs, no dirty dancing halls, or porn shops. There is no Satan, no curse, no darkness, no death, and no sickness and disease, or pain. Why? Because there is no sin.

Heaven is a holy place. What makes it so holy is the absence of sin. Heaven is marked by perfect love, perfect peace and tranquility, fulness of joy unspeakable, endless worship, perfect harmony, and unfathomable beauty. Only those whose sinful nature has been transformed and who now possess the nature of God can pass through those pearly gates. You must be born again (John 3:7)! To be born again means to be changed from one nature to another. It means to receive power to becomes the very sons of God (John 1:12), and pass from one realm into another. It means to recover the nature of Adam before he sinned.

Nothing unclean or defiled can enter into heaven. Without holiness no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14).

“But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Rev. 21:27).

In this life is where your eternal destiny is determined. This agrees perfectly with the Scriptures.

Holiness is what makes heaven so wonderful and only the holy will enter therein. This glorious atmosphere is what man was created for. Only the precious Blood of Christ can cleanse you to cause you to pass through.

I hope I will see you there. What a day that will be.

Do you want to survive or thrive in this decade? You must take an uncompromised stand for truth and righteousness. Please get my new book, The Tumultuous 2020s and Beyond, to discover all that’s at stake in the coming years. We must be bold, fearless, and strong in the Lord.

For more of the same please make some time to listen to the Charisma podcast interview I did this past week. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support!

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION: NONE HOLY CAN ENTER

A couple of years ago I preached a message on The Law Of Attraction using Rev. 22:11 as an opening text, explaining that the condition of departed spirits who’ve left this earth is irreversible.

“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

After death you will be drawn to the ruling passions you were drawn to in this life. This means that if you were drawn to places where sin reigns such as night clubs, bars, porn sites, to where evil is glorified, to where profanity, obscenities, and curses are spoken, then you will leave this earth and be pulled toward the place of those ruling desires. In this case, hell.

If you are a slave to sin and cannot stop its bondage in your life…if you do not enjoy worshiping and sharing Jesus…if you resist spiritual instruction and holy preaching you are in danger of eternal perdition. If you do not have mental freedom and peace deep down inside your spiritual nature is not in accord with God.

Heaven is for the pure and holy. Heaven is for those whose natures have changed, who’ve truly repented and been born again, and who love Jesus with all their hearts and are living wholly for Him. Holiness and sin can never touch each other. There can be no mixture. Good and evil cannot harmonize. The sinful nature of man can never harmonize with the intense purity and holiness of heaven. A sinner would be in complete discord and agony in heaven.

You’re either born again with a new nature that loves and practices righteousness or you’re still in your sins and practicing unrighteousness. Heaven and hell are determined by you and your nature, not God. He has sent Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed that you might repent and believe the gospel and be born again (Jn. 3:7) and given power to become sons of God (Jn. 1:12).

What I’m saying is this: The great purpose of divine revelation is to warn men that their manner of living in this world has a permanent effect on their eternal destiny. Humanity’s time on the earth is very brief compared to eternity and serves to only be a dressing room to prepare your soul for eternity and secure fitness for the next life. This is what should have every man’s reverent attention in this life.

Do not let the devil lie to you and tell you that you will be unhappy if you repent and live a holy lifestyle and that somehow you’ll be missing out on the fun. Don’t believe the big lie of Satan that there can be no real enjoyment in life if you stop sinning. The truth is that the person who has truly repented has no desire to sin. The grace of God is given to a person who repents and changes that person’s desires and empowers him to live for Christ.

The fake love gospel void of repentance has deceived many. The hyper-grace gospel void of repentance has deceived many. The diabolical silence on holiness and such themes as the cross, the blood, and hell have bred defective believers who profess Christ but in works and obedience deny Him.

Many in and outside the church need to repent and believe the gospel. If we just do that it will change the Church and the nation.

ETERNAL CROWNS AND REWARDS: THE REVELATION THAT REVOLUTIONIZED MY LIFE

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12).

Several years ago the Lord began dealing with me about preaching on “lost themes” (the end times, the rapture, the second coming of Christ, heaven, hell, holiness, the judgments of God, etc.). He said that there’s got to be more preaching on these themes for they are emphasized in the Scriptures. He said that there has been a diabolical silence on these topics. As I studied the Word of God I was amazed at how much content and emphasis is given to these vital themes. When is the last time you heard preaching on these themes?

One of the great themes I’ve given much thought to recently is concerning the judgment seat of Christ. This judgment does not involve our salvation but our works and subsequent rewards. Each act of our lives has been recorded and will be judged from the standpoint of both our zeal and our motives. All our works will be weighed on the basis of whether we have labored for the love and glory of God or for self-praise and the glory of man (Mat 6:1-6, 16-18). What have we built on the foundation of Jesus Christ? Have we given the Lord gold, silver and precious stones, or wood, hay and stubble (1 Cor 3:12)? Are our lives filled with hidden motives of pride, or pure motives of love?

The Word of God has much to say about crowns and rewards. For instance, did you know that there are at least five types of crowns mentioned in the scriptures? Here they are:

Incorruptible crown (1 Cor 9:25): A crown given to those who have kept their bodies under subjection.
Crown of rejoicing (1 Thes 2:19-20): A crown given to the soul winner.
Crown of glory (1 Pet 5:4): A crown given for full time service.
Crown of life (Rev 2:10): A crown given to the martyr.
Crown of righteousness (2 Tim 4:8): A crown given to those who love His appearing.

Did you know that at the judgment seat of Christ there will be terror (2 Cor 5:9-11), loss (1 Cor 3:15), and shame (1 John 2:28) for some believers? That is a solemn thought.

Did you know that in the world to come men will achieve different positions (Lk 19:11-19, Mat 25:23)? There will be a great difference in the rank and honor received by the saints in the next age. Man will not be rewarded or promoted on the basis of his natural talents and capabilities, but rather on his faithfulness to what was given him. Works that are done in faith, in love, and by the leading of the Holy Spirit will stand the test of God’s fire.

Above all these things, the apostle Paul hints of yet a greater prize which he himself was seeking.

THE GREATEST PRIZE

“If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead…I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:11, 14).

What is this prize that Paul exerted all his efforts to attain? It appears that he was seeking diligently to be a part of a first-fruits resurrection. The Scriptures teach that there is a definite order to the resurrection (1 Cor 15:22-23). Many believers don’t even realize that this is a prize to be won. If the apostle Paul was making every effort to attain to this prize, how much more ought we?

What is necessary to attain unto this first-fruits resurrection? Note Phil 3:7-10. In spite of all that Paul had attained to in ministry—visions and revelations, miracles, churches planted, ministry workers raised up—at the end of his life he was still in hot pursuit of yet a greater prize—to win Christ, to gain Christ, to know Him! This is more than salvation. Did you know that this is the greatest prize—to win closeness to Christ throughout eternity? Not every believer will have achieved an eternal position close to Christ. Just as it was during Jesus’ earth walk, so will it be throughout eternity that each follower will fall into a special group and classification. Jesus had 500 disciples, and then 70 closer, and then 12 even closer, and then the 3 who were closest to Him, and finally John the beloved who was Jesus’ closest disciple and friend. Let me tell you that my heart burns every time I ponder these things.

OUR WORKS ARE TRANSLATED INTO BUILDING MATERIALS TO FURNISH HEAVEN

“…You are God’s building…I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward” (1 Cor 3:9, 10, 14).

Did you also know that God uses things we give Him here on earth to add to the substance of heaven? God put David’s tears in a heavenly bottle and wrote them in a heavenly book (Ps 56:8). God took Cornelius’ prayers and money and translated them into a memorial in heaven (Acts 10:4). The prayers of the saints are transformed into heavenly incense before the throne (Rev 5:8). The righteous acts of the saints are translated into fine linen to array the Lamb’s wife (Rev 19:8). Know that every sacrifice and trial you handle in Christ here on the earth is translated into building material for God in heaven. All our earthly victories and maturity in Christ will add heavenly materiality to our spiritual house in heaven (1 Pet 2:5).

Our new home in heaven (John 14:2) will be established according to the works we build on the foundation of Jesus Christ while on the earth. Even the heavenly city of Jerusalem is being built with our earthly works of gold, silver, and precious stones with the wall of the city having its foundations serving as a memorial to the lives of the apostles (Rev 21:14). Isn’t it interesting that the New Jerusalem is called the Bride of Christ (Rev 21: 2, 9-11)? That’s because the entire city is made with materials furnished by real men and women of God who lived consecrated and surrendered lives to God.

Dear friends, there are times we may wonder if the Lord really sees every trial we endure and sacrifice we make to serve Him, but be assured that He does. And if we want to be wise servants, we would do well to consider our reward and eternal position.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it” (1 Cor 9:24).

Let us run to win.

We must possess an unwavering stand for truth and righteousness to thrive in the new era. Read about it in my new book. I believe it will be a great blessing to you. Here’s what Dr. Jeff Thompson said about it:

Please let me take a minute to recommend what I believe to be one of the most powerful prophetic addresses that i have ever read. Bert Farias pulls no punches and lays out a non-compromised Biblical Worldview regarding the “hot-button” issues of our day. Bible-believing Christians cannot afford to be complacent.

Bert’s books
