In 2005 the Lord told me to begin to speak and write more on lost themes and discarded/understated truths in the body of Christ. These blogs are a small part of that assignment.
We are giving a synopsis of the various accounts and testimonies of the 1920s outpouring in China among the orphaned children of the Adullam Rescue Home (these things were chronicled in a book called, Visions Beyond The Veil by H.A. Baker) Heaven, hell, angels and demons, the end of the Age and the return of the Lord were central themes to all the visions the children experienced during this fascinating outpouring.
A great focus of the visions and prophecies the children of Adullam received were concerning the end of this age, the rule of the Antichrist, the great tribulation, the harvest outpouring, and the return of the Lord. These children were not schooled in theology and knew nothing of these things, thus they were constantly questioned and cross questioned about what they saw and heard. They had no knowledge of the Bible and yet everything they witnessed in vision form and prophesied was exactly according to the Scriptures.
The Bible teaches that this present age will end in the greatest tribulation and time of trouble man has ever known, immediately followed by the return of the Lord who will destroy the wicked and reward the righteous (Mt. 24:29-31). When the darkness is at its worst we will see the greatest harvest.
PROPHECIES AND VISIONS
The Adullam children prophesied continually of a time of war, famine, pestilence, and great tribulation in conjunction with increased persecution of God’s people with promised protection. At times during intense persecution saints were caught away bodily to a place of safety as Philip was in Acts 8. There was also miraculous provision of food similar to the manna God manifested in the wilderness during times of scarcity and hunger. The saints received strength and boldness to testify fearlessly, and some were given power to preach in tongues of languages of unevangelized tribes. In some cases when the gospel was rejected fire would come from heaven to destroy the wicked place as Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. There was such preaching power in their words that their enemies were smitten by plagues or death.
The children also received numerous visions of the Antichrist accompanied by prophecy. They saw him marshaling his forces toward the final war of this age. During his reign the saints were standing strong in spite of hardship and danger. This was a time of the unleashing of the powers of Satan, having great wrath knowing his time was short (Rev. 12:12). No one but Spirit filled saints could stand and endure such Satanic onslaughts of power and manifestations.
Visions of the war on the earth were seen. Children saw battleships destroyed by bombs from airplanes, and sinking into their watery grave. Armies were gathered from all around the earth as poison gas was released (could this be chemical/nuclear warfare?) and deadly instruments slew their victims in countless numbers. Eventually there were multitudes of dead bodies that could not be buried and were left to decay as manure on the earth (Jer. 25:31-33).
THE RETURN OF THE LORD AND DAY OF HIS WRATH
In the midst of all this tribulation and trouble Christ suddenly returned. The sun became dark and the moon red like blood. The stars fell from heaven. The heavens were rolled up like a scroll. A great earthquake swallowed people up. Multitudes were running everywhere in fear and confusion. Men fled from their shops leaving behind their goods and valuables without a second thought. Families rushed out of their homes in the same way. All humans became one in purpose–to flee from the wrath of the returning eternal Judge and seek a place of refuge. Some fled to the mountains, some leaped into the rivers and perished, and some even slew themselves with their own weapons.
“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Rev. 6:17)
Think these things not strange for they are all recorded in the Bible (Rev. 6). The amazing fact is that these children did not know such things were in the Bible. And very often they would act out and speak out the things they were seeing and hearing.
THE GREAT SUPPER OF GOD
For example, when they saw all the dead bodies and the birds and scavengers of the earth eating their carcasses in the great supper of God (Rev. 19:17-18), the others could hear their remarks and see their movements. One would say, “Look at that eagle eating that rich fellow. See it picking his fancy clothes from his body. Look at that! It has taken a piece of his flesh and flown away.”
Another said, “Oh, look over there; a vulture and a crow both eating at that man. He has the most courage. He just picks away, gorging himself, never taking time to look up, but the crow is afraid; he takes a bit and looks around to see if he is in danger. ‘Ai ya’, do you see that? Look at the birds standing on that well dressed fellow and digging into him.”
These abhorring scenes repelled the children and made them turn their backs from it all. This once again signified the authenticity of these visions and what they were seeing. This shows us that the esteemed materialism of this passing world and the rich and mighty rulers/leaders of all Christ-rejecting enterprises and religions of this world will be brought to nothing. How sobering! How fearful to realize that all peoples and nations who forget the living God shall be turned into hell.
God chose to reveal all these end-of-the-age events to little, innocent, and simple children. They were shown by God and angels that the consummation of the present world with its human systems of education and its boasted organization and wealth will be “the great supper of God,” where the flesh of the dead will be more of a prize than will be the elevated splendor of this culture that is now the pride of the living.
The children saw the Lord and His angels bind the Antichrist hand and foot before casting him alive into hell (Rev. 19:20). There were also visions of the devil taken alive to the mouth of the pit where a lid was lifted up to cast him into a well-like, deep, black abyss. The lid was shut, and the Lord locked it with a great key (Rev. 20:1-3).
These things are real, dear friends, and God chose the most unlikely people, little children to bear witness of these invisible realities nearly a century ago. The time is drawing very near to the culmination of these events. God loves us and desires that none perish. Let us become eternally minded, live soberly, be watchful and prayerful, and made ready.
