The story is told of Dr. Lillian Yeoman who conducted a faith and healing home with her sister. One woman was brought in on a stretcher with some kind of terminal disease given up to die. Dr. Yeoman’s routine was to have every patient go through the Bible and read all the healing scriptures. Then she would tell them to read the entire chapter of Deuteronomy 28 and confess v. 61.

“Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed” (Dt. 28:61). This scripture covers every case of sickness and every kind of disease.

In conjunction with that scripture she would tell them to confess this part of Gal. 3:13. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law…” Each patient would take a little time and confess both of those scriptures in the morning, afternoon, and night.

This woman who had been given up to die did not even understand what she was confessing, but Dr. Yeoman told her not to bother about that but to just say it anyway. By the third day a commotion was heard upstairs where the patients were kept. This terminally ill woman was moving around in her room and ran down the stairs shouting her healing and deliverance. She was greatly rejoicing in her manifestation.

This woman was not a full gospel Christian. She didn’t understand healing. She was in Dr. Yeoman’s faith and healing home out of hopelessness and desperation. The word of God worked for her when she followed the instructions given to her.

The word of God is spirit and life. When you put it to work in your life you will see results.

  1. This word is right on time. My dad is having heart issues right now. This has been going off and on since around 11:00 Pm last night. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you. Blessings.
