Almost every day I read at least one, sometimes several accounts, of the rotten fruit of gay activism and the injustices wrought upon the righteous who oppose their deeds. Here are a few from just this year. Check your righteous temperature as you read these and tell me if it reaches the boiling point.
A Catholic Republican Governor who is a presidential candidate declares emphatically that he believes homosexuality is not a sin and that people are simply born that way. His unbiblical stance on this issue has becoming the norm in the American culture.
Other influential figures, whether they work in politics, the media, or education and now even so –called ministers affirm and celebrate individuals of all ages who have shown great courage “in coming out” as gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual.
Little children are now featured in YouTube videos, in DVDs and in books that are used in schools across America to educate and convince kindergarten age children and up that it’s okay to be gay.
Recently in a major conference in Boston LGBT leaders and activists convened to discuss strategies for aggressively blanketing elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools across the nation. Workshops and seminar sessions were held to lay out plans for continuing to establish gay clubs in every school, promote “Days of Silence” to stifle negative comments, and more effectively disseminate information to educate as well as inspire youth on the LGBT lifestyle.
Children are being saturated from every angle and source with the philosophy that it’s okay to be gay. States are even now enacting laws to prevent counselors from helping children who are struggling with same-sex attraction to change.
To compound the situation, we have popular influential ministers who either approve of homosexuality or remain silent. At the same time, apostate ministers are using their platforms to actually promote the LGBT agenda.
Houston’s lesbian mayor just passed a law making all public bathrooms, showers and dressing rooms totally accessible to either sex, any molester, gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender person, declaring that this legislation is the most personally meaningful thing she will ever do as mayor.
Then we have the recent removal of the Benham brothers from the HGTV television show for expressing their beliefs in traditional marriage, followed by the Miami Dolphins general manager expressing disappointment in one his player’s displeasure over two men kissing during the NFL draft’s celebration of the first open gay football player.
Past cases such as the florist who reportedly refused to provide flowers for a gay wedding because of her religious beliefs being sued by the Washington State Attorney General.
The Christian baker in Colorado who exercised his first amendment religious rights and politely declined to bake a “wedding” cake for a homosexual civil union and was ordered by law to deny his faith and bake these fake cakes, or shut down his bakery and face prison.
Mozilla, the corporation best known for producing the Fire fox web browser, firing its newly appointed CEO after his donation to Prop. 8, a California ballot initiative that barred same-sex marriage in the Golden State was publicized.
If you are a professing Christian and these events do not cause your righteous blood to boil, then I have to doubt the legitimacy of your Christianity. If your righteous temper does not flare up at what is happening in our nation your brand of righteousness is not worth a nickel.
Personally, when I read such reports I feel like Elihu when he was filled with righteous wrath at Job’s three friends for condemning him without reason. He was also angry with Job for his self-justification. Here is how he described his righteous indignation:
“For I am full of words; the spirit within me compels me. Indeed my belly is like wine that has no vent; It is ready to burst like new wineskins. I will speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.” (Job 32:18-20)
I say, enough is enough! I say it’s time to revolt against such a heinous demonic onslaught of perversion and filth that is eroding the moral fabric of our American culture and the Judeo-Christian heritage of what our forefathers founded. When I read some of these aforementioned reports of the rapid rise of gay activism and the gross injustices being dealt in our nation’s courtrooms across this land, I seethe as David did before Goliath when he said:
“For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God!?” (1 Sam 17:26)
Here’s what I propose:
1. Unite as one Church under the banner of the Lordship of Jesus Christ: Those who care about the future of America, the perpetuity of our children and the generations to come, the preservation of traditional marriage, the preservation of our Judeo-Christian heritage and God-given liberties, and the protection of our privacies, must unite cross-denominationally with one heart and one voice. Regardless of our petty differences in doctrine, race, and style we must consider the greater good of lifting up a righteous standard and saving our nation from destruction.
2. Speak the truth in love with fire, force, and conviction. It starts in the pulpits of America. Six million Christians voted money over morals in recent political elections because ministers have failed to educate their people in biblical morality. Instead, new age slime has been oozing from pastors’ mouths while already four different denominations have embraced “gay” Christianity. If church-goers across America hear burning hearts with flaming tongues thundering forth righteousness and holiness from our pulpits again we would have a ground swell of righteous support that would shake America. Who cares if you lose church members? You will gain the favor of God.
3. Lead your churches in repentance and prayer. There has been a movement in this area but it could rise to gigantic proportions if we will unite cross-denominationally. Numbers will alarm our progressive politicians and let them know we are a force to be reckoned with.
May our righteous blood reach the boiling point where we, like Jeremiah, will not hold back any longer.
“But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.” (Jer 20:9)
The nation of Denmark has recently passed a law requiring all churches to perform gay weddings. Pastors who refuse will be penalized and punished and church rights taken away.
Could America be next?
The writing is on the wall. If we don’t stand now and speak we may never speak again. May we be among the courageous ones who say, “In order to stop me, you’ve got to kill me.” As Geroge Orwell once said, “In such times of deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act” that can get you killed.
I say, on with the revolution. Let us serve the Lord, by life or by death (Phil. 1:20), and thereby save our Judeo-Christian heritage and our nation from destruction.
